Changes that need to be made for next year

1. Keep Dana and let him install his offense
2 Let Dana hire offensive coaches.
3. No choice, fire Foley before bowl game.
4. Find a punt returner, not a fair catch specialist
5. Do everything you can to keep coach White.
6. Find a 5 star long snapper.
7. Recruit leaders, not since Kenny Bell does anyone stick out as a team leader

Next year is year 3 of coach Rhule. Winning at least 7 games should be minimum goal for next year. The high end goal should be a top 12 playoff team.

Honest question about Mahomes Jr. from an Iowa fan

I'm not trying to rile up anything and I mean this with full sincerity but do you guys find it cringey and weird?

I get maybe liking or idolizing a player and wanting to wear his/her # or something but the full blown copy and paste attempt by Raiola is weird. Do you guys look at it as a who cares as long as he wins type deal or do you guys also find it cringey like the rest of America?

Also the 2 polar bears you guys have at DT are studs

QB competition

Can we have a true QB competition in this day and age of overpaid and unproven NIL darlings? How are you going to bench the million dollar man and hurt his feelings? Will he take his ball and pack his suitcase?

This is now a microcosm of the NFL where the coach’s success is directly tied to his starting quarterback’s success. It has to work. Once you bench the starter, it is the beginning of the end.

Will DR improve enough where he is deficient? He’s got major holes in his game and I’m concerned that the job is his de facto for the next 2 to 3 years possibly to the detriment of the team. This feels like an enormous trap and gamble.

Add in the fact that one of the coaches is directly related makes staff meetings uncomfortable when you as a coach are seen as a threat to the player getting drafted.

I know, some of you apologists will say that he’s only a freshman. He deserves some leeway, but I sense trouble on the horizon

Watching SMU...

And boy, does their offense look spry! I wish our team could have an offense like that. Obviously defenses in the B1G are more talented and stout... But Indiana sure can make rocking some basic RPOs look rather easy against the conference. Why can't we?

You'd think with a 5 star QB we could look a bit more quick and efficient like that... Hopefully he will start to look like that next season, now that DR has had a season to gain experience.

Our current 24 QB commit has some mobility, and seems very intriguing. I doubt there will be a legit QB competition, but he could probably push DR pretty hard. Especially if DH stays on as OC.

A lot of plusses, and a lot of minuses this season. With a 6-6 middling record, that is how it goes.

Putting all 12 games together, who was this year's Husker MVP?
