Tonites info

On Mickey and ASU is the first real bit of info we have....he really wants the NU job and he's going to leverage all he has to get it. Hell, I've done it and it worked.

I couldn't quite understand all the recruiting but now I do.....hire me or I take them with me. I've been very curious about brother Vance for a long time and now with the Cardinals in trouble you can bet your bippy he would join up with his bro if the Cards die out and they fire. Mickey is putting together a staff to present to Trev.

Recruiting New FutureCast for Huskers to land 2023 running back

Nebraska has only had one commitment during the 2022 football season and that was Malachi Coleman a couple weeks ago. Its understandable why things have slowed down with the coaching change but the staff has been hard at work on the trail anyway.

I think the Huskers will get good soon on the recruiting trail. After speaking with sources Monday, I’ve fired in a FutureCast for Nebraska to land 2023 Louisiana running back Arnold Barnes. The playmaking back from the Bayou visited Nebraska for the Indiana game. He was committed to Tulane when he took that visit and didn’t leave Tulane’s recruiting class until Oct. 28.

Barnes, who took an official visit to Iowa this last weekend, has rushed for 1,412 yards and 14 touchdowns through eight games. Mickey Joseph and Bryan Applewhite are leading the charge on this recruitment.

Volleyball What We Learned: John Cook's Tuesday Press Conference

Another press conference full of good stuff from John Cook today at Memorial Stadium. From players practicing in Halloween costumes to jump serving, there was plenty to unpack from Cook's time at the podium.

What if the next HC isn't a current P5 HC?

Who are some coaches that are currently assistants or lower level HCs that could be the next great HC?

Jeff Traylor - UTSA - currently my favorite
Kane Wommack - South Alabama
Shawn Clark - Appalachian State
Curt Cignetti - James Madison
Jamey Chadwell - Coastal Carolina - some talk about him because some like his offense

Some assistants
Manny Diaz - had decent success at Miami
Todd Monken - Georgia OC
Tosh Lupoi - Oregon DC

More risk with these guys, but there is potential for greater reward as well. Is it better take a chance on one of these guys vs a mildly successful coach that is on the standard candidate list?

This is an awesome and exciting addition to Inside Nebraska. Jay knows football and breaks it down in a way the average football fan can understand.
