So my daughter has an interest in trying out for her middle school's track team. The tryouts are in a month and she is 12 years old.
We went to the track to get some times as a baseline (in tennis shoes, no blocks)
100m 15.3
200m 37.3
400m 1 min 40 sec
She is in decent shape from playing lacrosse (midfield), but I am surprised how fast she gets gassed running the 200 and 400m.
Realistically how much time can she shave off in the next month if she works?
