Jason Maciejczak - Dline

Thinking has been he starts out on the Oline and that may be so. But there is this:
Recent Husker D-lineman signee Jason Maciejczak saw that point driven home to him when he came on his official visit a few weeks back.

"He's not a 'we're going to sit back and play a Cover 4. Or we're going to specifically blitz these guys on these downs.' He's very expandable in what he does, so I really liked my conversations with both those two," he said of defensive talks with White and D-line coach Terrance Knighton. "I think the biggest thing is that I have to be versatile in my play. I'm not going to be a specific Zero or 1 Tech. They said I'm going to play all over the line because that's how they play and that's how they coach."

Mahomes following script

The Eagles are supposed to win this game. Mahomes was so injured on the field and walking to the locker room he wasn’t even limping. Then security was trying to get people to stop filming him because he isn’t injured. He is a great actor on the field and State Farm commercials. Good thing I put my money on the Eagles since we saw the script.

Nebraska vs. Texas A+M 2006

I just rewatched this game. It is interesting microcosm of Callahan's tenure. Nebraska jumped out to a 21 to 10 lead behind a nice offensive mix of power single back running and quick slant and crossing pattern passing. On third and goal from abut the five, Nebraska calls a short side run and Cody Glenn runs over a guy for a TD. Nebraska really had A+M on their heels. An early turning point happened the second quarter. Up 21 to 7 and driving, the Huskers go for it on 4th down at A+M's 27 yard line and Taylor gets sacked. A+M gets a field goal before half to make it 21-10. In the second half, all heck breaks loose. The offense completely bogs down and A+M starts hitting big plays on offense. Luckily, three things happen. Nebraska blocks a field goal, A+M gets a late hit on Taylor, and Purify saves the game. This game preposterously had 1 second put back on the clock at the end!

This is cool ...

I wonder if it ever happens without Title IX?

In 2018, their volleyball revenue jumped up to $4.23 million, before tapering off in 2019 with $4.21 million. The program continued to operate in the green, spending about $3.36 million in 2018 and just under $4 million in 2019 before COVID-19 altered the landscape of collegiate sport.

After the Cemetary...

My sister in law told me that my brother wanted me to have all his Husker collection. Mostly clothing, I was stunned at what he had. She said you know he always liked to dress well, Dragon. Brother loved the Huskers, even called once from Indianapolis about the Women's Rifle defeating a team that had USAF ties. When in Europe and Saudi my Mom clipped out all the Husker articles from the Sunday World Herald. Visting Mom on Sundays I would tease Her about it was easy to read the sports section when you can watch NFL games through most of the pages. "Brother wants me to send them to him." I know Mom.
Brother was the first of us orphans to pass.
