Solid Foxsports.com article on Rhule and Nebraska

Pretty good summary of Rhule's leadership in his short time at Nebraska...

Spring preview DB's

Departures: None

Key Returnees for 2023: Marques Buford, Braxton Clark, Myles Farmer, Isaac Gifford, Malcolm Hartzog, Tommi Hill, Tyreke Johnson, Tamon Lynum, Javier Morton, Quinton Newsome, Phalen Sanford, Rahmir Stewart, Javin Wright
Additions: D’Andre Barnes, Dwight Bootle, Corey Collier, Ethan Nation, Syncere Safeeullah

Malcolm Hartzog was one of the team’s biggest bright spots. Not only did the then-true freshman score Nebraska's first touchdown off a blocked punt since 2009, but he also tallied three interceptions. Two of those helped secure not only Nebraska's first FBS victory in a year but a morale-boosting winning streak following Scott Frost's exit. Login to view embedded media

2023 Outlook

For all the benefits a more vicious attack up front brings, Nebraska's defensive backs should be licking their chops over the prospect. Hartzog should have plenty of opportunities to boast the best ball-hawking skills again, along with an overabundance of competition.

Baseball Live Thread BSB FINAL: Nebraska 17, Nicholls 1 (Game 2 of DH)

Quick turnaround for Nebraska (10-5-1) who takes on Nicholls (11-9) for the second game of today's doubleheader. The Huskers pulled out game one in just over an hour as starter Emmett Olson tossed his second career complete game with seven innings of one-run ball to lead Nebraska to a 2-1 victory. Colonel starter Tyler Theriot went the full six innings for Nicholls and limited the Husker offense to a pair of runs on seven hits.

Jace Kaminska will get the start and will have a fresh bullpen behind him.

Football Satterfield on the radio — spring practice goals and 1995 fullback tape

Nebraska offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield joined Sports Nightly on Thursday. It was a brief interview, but here are the highlights nonetheless.

Baseball Live Thread BSB FINAL: Nebraska 2, Nicholls 1 (Game 1 of DH)

After Thursday's series opener was canceled, we are back for a Friday doubleheader between Nebraska (9-5-1) and Nicholls (11-8). The Colonels have been decent this season and have a couple of nice arms that have good ERAs. I'm interested to see how the Huskers respond after such a disappointing loss against Omaha on Tuesday. I'm not too concerned about the offense as they've proven they can produce runs against everyone, but let's see how the bullpen reacts. They gave up all 10 runs the Mavericks scored on Tuesday. Last time the bullpen struggled against San Diego, they came back to throw a shutout weekend against South Alabama where they allowed zero earned runs across three games.

Good pitching matchup for the opening game of this doubleheader as it will be RHP Emmett Olson (2-1, 3.97 ERA, 22.2 IP) vs. LHP Tyler Theriot (2-2, 2.53 ERA, 21.1 IP). Considering this is only a seven-inning game, it could go quick.

A nine-inning game will follow with RHP Jace Kaminska (3-0, 2.25 ERA, 24.0 IP) vs. TBA. Here's the series preview to get you ready.
