I just finished watching KU Ark. game. Ark. Had a three point lead with a minute to go and they kept fouling KU. The strategy worked because they simply ran out the clock. In these circumstances the foul on Arkansas was actually a penalty on KU. I think a team should be able to decline the foul and keep type ball.

So PSU may end up being blown out today by Indiana, but getting to.500 in conference play and playing in the Big Ten Conference semifinals this season should be what Trev will expect from Fred’s Huskers in 23-24 or a change will be warranted. No regression will be tolerated.

Lakeview senior Landon Ternus who capped off a 45-0 wrestling season on Feb. 18, winning Class B gold at the NSAA State Wrestling Championships in 220-pound weight class.
On Tuesday, Ternus was honored at Lakeview High for the next step in his athletic and academic career. Ternus' next step will be in Lincoln with the Nebraska football team after he accepted a preferred walk-on spot with the Huskers.

Quick turnaround for Nebraska (10-5-1) who takes on Nicholls (11-9) for the second game of today's doubleheader. The Huskers pulled out game one in just over an hour as starter Emmett Olson tossed his second career complete game with seven innings of one-run ball to lead Nebraska to a 2-1 victory. Colonel starter Tyler Theriot went the full six innings for Nicholls and limited the Husker offense to a pair of runs on seven hits.

Jace Kaminska will get the start and will have a fresh bullpen behind him.

After Thursday's series opener was canceled, we are back for a Friday doubleheader between Nebraska (9-5-1) and Nicholls (11-8). The Colonels have been decent this season and have a couple of nice arms that have good ERAs. I'm interested to see how the Huskers respond after such a disappointing loss against Omaha on Tuesday. I'm not too concerned about the offense as they've proven they can produce runs against everyone, but let's see how the bullpen reacts. They gave up all 10 runs the Mavericks scored on Tuesday. Last time the bullpen struggled against San Diego, they came back to throw a shutout weekend against South Alabama where they allowed zero earned runs across three games.

Good pitching matchup for the opening game of this doubleheader as it will be RHP Emmett Olson (2-1, 3.97 ERA, 22.2 IP) vs. LHP Tyler Theriot (2-2, 2.53 ERA, 21.1 IP). Considering this is only a seven-inning game, it could go quick.

A nine-inning game will follow with RHP Jace Kaminska (3-0, 2.25 ERA, 24.0 IP) vs. TBA. Here's the series preview to get you ready.

Nebraska WBB will host Northern Iowa in the second round of the WNIT. The game will tip off Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The Huskers posted a 74-65 win over Missouri State while UNI beat Colorado State 88-76.

Man, what a poor performance. There big guy gave little to no effort all game. For a 7 footer he was never a presence on the defensive end. Don't know what I was thinking picking them.
