I know some of you HATE Izzo....

....I don't....he's crotchety at times, but I'd have my kids play for him.....but what I like is his love for the league....he pulls for the league...I'm might be alone, and I KNOW we have a feeling that Warren shafted us a lot, but I ROOT for this league like I NEVER rooted for the Big 12....in his presser he restated his thoughts that the BIG 10 is the toughest league to win and it takes a toll....I know the Big 12 has been good as well, but.....

Has Scott Frost made a public comment since his dismissal?

Patrick Ewing after getting fired at Georgetown:

“I am very proud to be a graduate of Georgetown University,” Ewing said in a statement. “And I am very grateful to President [John J.] DeGioa for giving me the opportunity to achieve my ambition to be a head basketball coach. It is particularly meaningful for me to be in charge of the basketball program at my alma mater. I wish the program nothing but success. I will always be a Hoya.”

I don't recall any such statement from Frost, which begs the question - is Frost a Husker?

Recruiting 4-star Idaho WR Gatlin Bair sees Rhule's vision on Junior Day visit

What will stick with four-star Idaho WR Gatlin Bair about this weekend's trip?

"Coach Rhule's vision and the vision of all the coaches for the program and where they're trying to take it right now. They're definitely really trying to turn the program around and talking to a bunch of players they feel a really big difference. Everyone in the building right now is really excited for the next couple seasons, get some more wins and hopefully win some more games. Then potentially take it even further than that."

Baseball Live Thread BSB FINAL: Nebraksa 8, Illinois 3

We're back at Haymarket Park for the second game of this three-game series this weekend to kick off Big Ten play as Illinois looks to bounce back after dropping an 8-4 contest last night against Nebraska. Yesterday's game could be labeled as the "flu game" for starter Emmett Olson who went seven innings and struck out a career-high 10 batters as he dealt with the flu. In fact, after the first inning, Olson came to the dugout and puked. Olson surrendered four runs, but his offense picked him up as the Huskers poured in six runs in the first innings including a three-run home run by Max Anderson for his fourth of the season.

Additionally, Nebraska beat the Illini in a season-high crowd last night as the game's attendance went over 5,000 spectators. Last, but certainly not least, Alex Gordon, Shane Komine and Darin Erstad were all honored last night as their numbers were the first three to be retired in the program's 117-year history. Here's that story from last night:

Nebraska will look to lock up the series win today as they send RHP Jace Kaminska (4-0, 1.86 ERA, 29.0 IP) to face Illinois' RHP Julius Sanchez (0-2, 8.31 ERA, 17.1 IP). Kaminska has a shutout streak of over 18 innings going into Saturday hoping to keep that alive. Here's the series preview to get you ready:
