People are pouncing on him. He is a decent blocker and receiver IMO. Certainly not the reason we have lost five games. The hate is going to push him into the portal.
He’s been a favorite of the head coach. Personally I liked seeing Lindenmeyer and Boerkircher out there the blocking was great yesterday. Fidone didn’t have a catch. If he leaves I would think it would be because of his production/opportunities in addition to the ‘hate’. Fidone has mentioned social media posts at least a couple times and that seems to hold sway over him a bit too much IMO.

In other games around the country..

I don’t think anyone is out, yet. More carnage awaits
So as of today at least, it appears at least two out of SMU/Miami/Clemson get in from the ACC.
Big 12 champion is in (BYU?),
Boise likely in as the highest G5 champ
Oregon, PSU, OSU, Indiana from B1G
Texas, UGA, Tenn from the SEC
Notre Dame at large is in

Most likely upsets I can see for the last weekend are SCar beating Clemson, A&M maybe over Texas (doubtful though)

Man, this is exciting. There could be a 3 loss SEC team that sneaks in but doesn’t look that way at this point

Agree, I really feel bad for the young man. And he could have gone anywhere coming out of high school and he chose the Huskers. Injuries suck. And it’s obvious injuries have completely changed what he’s capable of doing. It’s painful watching him try to move laterally.
If he is part of game plan this week needs to only be multiple TE set pass play. No more screens or asking him to block - he can’t do it.

Bama turning into Nebraska

His QB is a problem. The inmates are getting control of the asylum. He’ll need to shake things up. Their locker room has a bit of entitlement

He is in a hard place this year. Milroe shouldn't be the QB, but the locker room loves him. It would be extremely hard being a first year coach and benching a probable 1st round qb that is loved by his teammates.

He was an NFL TE until the injuries, it sucks for the kid. He I just physically incapable of things he used to do.

If we beat Iowa Friday

And end the season 7-5... Would you consider this season a success?

Curious on the pulse of the fan base. Been a bumpy ride with lots of missed opportunities. Pre-season I would have said 8 was the bench mark, but wins over Wisconsin, Iowa, & Colorado would put me as a yes.
It is a major missed opportunity because we have a very stout defensive line, and defensively(outside of the Indiana game--caused by 5 turnovers) we are a top 15 defense. Imagine having an offense as well that could ball control and manage field position and we might have had a top 10 defense. We have an elite qb, he plays much older than he is, we have been remarkably healthy, we obviously have two good backs, a good stable of wrs and a very friendly schedule. We could be 10-1 right now, should have 8 or 9 wins with the possibility of 10. The fact that the head coach had to fire his friend who has some of the worst analytics in the sports over his career just to get us to score more than 30 in a game means the season should be viewed as a disappointment. I don't really care, but I do feel for the kids...this could have been a special season if Rhule would have taken the job seriously.

The real downside is we lose our defense next year, hopefully not our coach and we have no guarantee of keeping DH, he may not even want to coach. This was the "spike" season, where you get 9-11 wins, next year with schedule will be the "dip"..unless we can buy some really high quality defensive lineman.
