Junior Miller still is the prototype for what a TE should look like. The man was a beast at every level he played at.Junior was a stud. Basically a small OT with hands and wheels
hamstringI heard Hartzog was in concussion protocol. Is that not the case?
Sure he's playing with really good teammates against lesser teams in a lower division. But that kid is fun to watch. He certainly looks the part. He looks like some of those unheralded Big 10 RBs that we have been seeing these last dozen years.I wonder what kind of plan they have for Connor moving forward to next season.. Can’t really say he’s better than Emmit Johnson..
We desperately need a stud running back better than what have on the roster presently..
We've been playing very few guys in the defensive backfield. I have a feeling there are a few backups who are ready to prove themselves but they haven't yet gotten the opportunity.Charles got pressed into duty against a very good WR group last week and played a bunch against Indiana. And the other three are not wanting in terms of game experience. NU will be fine.
I heard Hartzog was in concussion protocol. Is that not the case? Why would Rhule announce this on Thursday and give UCLA two days notice about how short we are at CB? Obviously the Bruins could see MH limp off the field last Saturday, but no reason in 2024 to announce injuries until you have to hand in your list 2 hrs before the game.
But that doesn't mean that the opt out players don't still want to play. I would think that most standout football players always like to play another game. They're just acting on the advice that they are being given.seriously.. most star players have been opting out of bowl games these last few years.. it's another chance to get injured and there is little to gain from it, unless you're a backup player trying to get noticed.
Why have Lamar and the Ravens already lost three games? They are barely over 500. That’s not player of the year material.
Well you might not have issues with me but I got a lot of issues with myself! Haha.....like you're any better when the subject of marriage comes up!! Hahaha. (meant completely as a joke...i've zero issues with you)
Here comes the "I don't listen to CowTERD, or Rome, or watch ESPN or Fox Sports or have TV or internet or Twitter" crowd...
yes, truly brave when people admit they cannot be entertained by sports entertainment personalities. Here comes the "I don't listen to CowTERD, or Rome, or watch ESPN or Fox Sports or have TV or internet or Twitter" crowd...
Here comes the "I don't listen to CowTERD, or Rome, or watch ESPN or Fox Sports or have TV or internet or Twitter" crowd...Cowherd just tabbed us to cover vs UCLA
The bolded is the entire point. We have 120ish players, but only 22 starters. Next years first time starters are backups this year that could really benefit from the extra bowl practices.seriously.. most star players have been opting out of bowl games these last few years.. it's another chance to get injured and there is little to gain from it, unless you're a backup player trying to get noticed.
Also, I suppose the trip to Florida/Texas/California would be nice for a kid from Nebraska, but I doubt it means much to the players who are actually from Florida/Texas/California etc.
Now a playoff means something, and ofc the players want to play in that game, but a bowl game these days is kinda for losers.. (think about it from a championship mindset.. that's where all the losers end up.). And if you're a fan looking at this as your super bowl moment or just something meaningful, then I'm sorry, you really are living in another world.. which ironically is where most Nebraska fans are living these days.
I'm surprised. I thought money would balance the line back to 7.5 or 8Hartzog OUT this weekend
Jeremiah Charles getting his first start in the secondary
line down to NU -6
He will pay it off with a deep throw in the next few weeks.we did this against IU, a game where Haarberg was the team's leading rusher (5 carries, 32 yards)
