This! All the way back to the Solich days Nebraska has relied on QBs to do it all. We just need a QB to make good decisions and not turn the ball over. Tons of other college teams have mediocre QBs in terms of athleticism, yet still win games.

All it takes is a QB that takes care of the ball. The QB doesn't have to be a difference maker. Just steady.
Heck, I’m nearly certain that Nebraska will be sh!t awful at QB this year.

I am not saying your wrong. I just have the opinion that Sims may have told the new coach at Ga Tech that he was leaving after the season and they decided to sit him and play the ones that were with them, so to speak.

For the benefit of the team and us fans, I hope HH plays great Saturday. If he struggles, then I hope Purdy can help manage a win.
He did fine last year when they were throwing short passes. A coach should not ask a player to do something they've shown an inability to do. NU just has to have the threat of throwing the ball, an acceptable distance is one thing, but we're at the point where we just have to compliment the run game without the picks being a problem.

So, the starting shortstop has a good glove, a subpar arm but gets the ball to first in a catchable way.
You don't attend practice so you don't see your boy boot 50% of the balls hit at him, when he does field it, he throws in the dirt, off the bag or 5' over the 1st basemen's head.
Other than that, he's a good shortstop.
We need to see what HH can do. Mop up action against CU hasn't shown us enough.
Am I gonna root against HH? Hell no, and I'm not gonna root against Purdy either.
NU has a chance to start with a different QB and let's hope one of them can do the job.
Heck, like HH, Woche is totally untested, he could be as good as any of them, if given the chance.
call me what you want, but don't turn a blind eye to what we saw last year and in 2 straight spring games from purdy. 50 passes, 6+ games. that is not a nothing sample.
I don't know if HH is good or not. I know for a fact purdy has no juice and cannot play at this level.

I know a little about arm ability since I coached 2 kids that were pitchers that both lasted 18 years in the bigs. Arm strength can be developed. Either Purdy has developed a lot more arm strength or he hasn't. Its the coaches responsibility to call plays that work to whatever strength he has. If that's short passes, so be it. It just has to be somebody in red.
I know that. He was 7-9 in passing. Kids can't improve from high school to college?

purdy has no juice. hasn't since the first pass he attempted in his first spring game
looked exactly the same as last year in the spring and in his one play on saturday.
he cannot play. we all know this.
