Let me start by saying Coach Frost needs more time but I have several things I can’t wrap my head around when it comes to our program
1. Why the stubbornness of not bringing on a real quarterback who can throw. Am is a good athlete but can’t seem to throw with accuracy constantly. If he hasn’t got it by now it’s not gonna happen. Luke is truly in my opinion a wr /slot back. His mechanics seem to be way off and doesn’t have velocity or accuracy to be a major college qb. He is young so he could improve. We need someone in the program who is a true qb to push both current guys.
2. Why does frost love the big backs. I truly believe we need a guy who is fast who can put his foot in the ground and go. We haven’t had a guy like that since Ahman.
3. Again. What is this team’s identity? What can we do well? Not much that I see right now. I hope we can be a running team that is good at play action. It’s tough to do that though when your qb is running for his life or can’t hit open receivers.
scotts plan isn’t currently working. Yet I see him consistently doing it over and over and not acknowledging it isn’t working. You have to change variables to fix this equation. Do something uncomfortable to your planned system because what you are doing now doesn’t seem to work in environment you are in.
thanks for letting me vent I wish nothing but the best for him and program. Just frustrated at seeing no progress and lack of necessary adjustment to fix problems that he has in his plans.
my father said never complain lest you offer a solution to the issue.
my suggestions
1. Transfer Qb who at minimum is a game manager. Makes few mistakes and is able to hit receivers accurately for most common routes.
2. Run the ball with actual rb’s. Not a qb who runs. Pound ball, run clock. Occasionally throw play action passes
3. Have to take deep shots down the field. I watched every game and last two games I saw at least 8-9 guys in the box because there was no fear we could throw. Have to make defense at least think we can throw.
thanks for letting me suggest/vent. I have hope this can be turned around
