What a season for Coach Prime

If this keeps up, he's gonna need a new nickname...

Subprime

Simple math told a reasonable person they wouldn’t be any good. 20% of any class
Contributes significant minutes with maybe 2 or 3 top end talents. 60 new guys means 15, tops, pan out.

That leaves ZERO depth. Them, many portal guys are problem kids or non starters/contributors on current team….and they’re gonna come dominate?

They will hit u seen depths of futility in 2 yr when they have zero depth, no QB and general anarchy in the Program.

Colorado dumpster fire is already lit, this off-season will just need a bit more fuel on it to completely go up in flames next season, may the football gods be in our favor to have the last laugh

No reason to believe the Buffs shouldn't be a contender... Just tonight, they've replaced their best recruiter and DE coach with Vincent Dancy, who will join Warren Sapp to coach the Buffs front seven... And if you thought Warren Sapp's coaching resume was impressive, just look at Dancy's... After being an assistant at Jackson St, Dancy quickly ascended the coaching ranks with a move to Paine College as a defensive coordinator... After just one season at Paine, Dancy made the jump to Mississippi Valley State where he spent 3 seasons as their DC from 2015 to 2017... During those 3 seasons, the defense gave up a mere 43.9, 45.8, and 40.4 points per game while amassing a 4-29 record... He was then named the interim HC when it was shockingly announced that Rick Comengy would not have his contract renewed... In January 2018, MVSU removed the Interim tag and announced that Dancy would be the new head coach for the program... In 5 seasons under Dancy's guidance, the Delta Devils posted a 10-38 mark... Despite all the success, Dancy resigned from his post and joined Deion in Colorado as a defensive analyst, adding to the already impressive list of former head coaches Sanders hired to his staff...

This, coming after the big news earlier in the week when Sanders and the Buffs received word that Amari Ward will be joining the Buffs roster... After being denied admission last spring, Ward, a former Jackson St offensive lineman will be the 6th FCS/G5 lineman the staff has added in Boulder... He will look to step in immediately in an effort to keep Sheduer upright in 2024...

This is great news! And something the sCUm fans will no doubt be talking up and crowing about. And who could blame them?!?

CP is great at winning the off-season and getting people drinking the koolaid, even better than a recent former Husker coach was early in his NU tenure. However, as we Husker fans know, there are a few other details like coaching, game management, talent development and culture that have to be addressed to yield success - CP is very unproven in those areas. The Buffs were a loss to NU or CSU away from having their season basically be a complete disaster. The fact that the Huskers fumbled that opportunity away is painful.

Colorado has brought in a bunch of new OL. I think that kid from Houston is good and obviously the HS kid is a big recruit (if they can keep him). The rest are probably just guys. But they have gone out and got linemen.

Houston, 106 in the country in rushing, 83rd in sacks allowed, 4-8... Uconn, 93rd in rushing, 8th in sacks allowed, 3-9... UTEP, 84th in rushing, 93rd in sacks allowed, 3-9... Indiana 105th in rushing, 69th in sacks allowed, 3-9... Good on them for getting a few run of the mill 3 stars... More Samsonite coupled with an o line coach with zero experience... We'll see how it works out...

The Houston kid is pretty well regarded, or at least has decent PFF numbers.

It will be fascinating to watch. A whole new group of OL, coached by a guy with basically no coaching experience.

Decent PFF grades in pass protection... If you're grading in the 80s in pass blocking, and grading out at 65 percent overall, the run-blocking numbers have to be pretty below average I would suspect... On top of that, most all the transfer portal sites have the UTEP kid rated higher than him and the UTEP kid is a 3-star transfer...

At the end of the day, we listened to all the nonsense last season when CU brought in all the various FSU and SEC, players on the defensive side of the ball with Charles Kelly... The Buffs were 122nd in Scoring D, 110th in Rushing D, 127th in Passing D, and 129th in Total D...
