at #20. Must be those superior facilities, tradition and fan interest they have there. Just think what MR could do if he had 5 years there!

You forgot that when MR came in as the HC of NU, the cupboard was completely bare and the culture was terrible. While at UCF, even though the team was 0-12 three years ago, the team was loaded with talent and had no internal problems. SF should get no credit for what he as done.

Also, even though NU may have fallen even lower than we were in 2007, MR should get at least one more year to make staff changes and prove what he can do.

I usually agree with you on all fronts. Im not sure about this one. Im not sure how much more MR has to show. Would he be willing to make staff changes on offense? Would he commit to the run game? Does practice get more physical? I like MR hes a good man. I wanted him to win since his first PC. But he looks sick and beat down. I think this is to much for him.

How many times do we see this ever year from a team from a small conference like UCF? And what happens ever year with said schools when Bowl time comes around?? They usually get blasted out of the water because there only winning and do good because there in a small BS conference to start with. I will give this though, Frost has to be a decent coach at least to do what he’s doing. But guys, this does not mean he’s some young Nick Saban or the next Husker savior. Hell he might not even consider coming to Nebraska to coach knowing how our fans are and unreasonable demands we have. Frost or not, if he’s hired and he’s struggling year 3 maybe 4 at beast, he will have fans calling for his head.

IF he's not the next Nick Saban or Husker Savior, I can guarantee you that I hope he's not the next Mike Riley if hired.

The cupboard was not bare at Nebraska and to believe there were no internal problems at UCF after having gone 0-12 is pretty narrow sighted. For some reason many Nebraska fans have talked themselves into this fallacy that everything was Broken when Bo left. They forget how they were saying MR was handed the keys to the Ferrari and all he needed to do was point it in the right direction. These comments of cancers and bare cupboards only came out after he started losing and then in the form of the apologists using them as excuses.

Even a monk...

Oh, never mind.

There was a leadership void at UCF after the Fiesta Bowl. GOL was on his way out, but the administration wanted him to stay on. So he did - with the ability to "groom" our O-Line/OC coach for the HC job. GOL was going to transition to AD and for a short time, served as coach/AD.

Both were a disaster. With GOL basically checked out, Key (the OC) was also unprepared to manage a full program. 2015 was a combo of that, injuries, and key losses due to draft/graduation.

Enter DW and then Frost, they likely thought it was a massive rebuild too - and for good reason. But obviously they found quickly that some of the foundation was better than expected and from a FB team perspective, had some talent on it. Hence why in part the team is doing as well as it is now. And on the back end, DW is doing a great job rebuilding the athletic department as a whole and getting higher level donors better engaged.

Huh, that sounds like something a brilliant Mexican wrote on here. You know that UCF didn't have 0-12 talent even though they went 0-12.

After re-reading my post, I obviously did not lay on the sarcasm heavy enough. :)
Maybe because I'm a sarcastic a$$hole but I picked up on the sarcasm after the 2nd word "forgot". That right there implies that the OP needed to add more to his sarcastic post, so it was sarcasm on top of sarcasm.

Reminds me of when Jerry says...

"Or...we could knock these walls down and make it an 8-room luxury suite."

"Jerry, these are load-bearing walls!!! They're not going to come down!!
