Skers Now 2.5 point Favorites on Black Friday

And, @scarletred , Iowa has played Penn State 9 times to your 4 times since 2011.

Iowa has played OSU 3 times since 2011, true. UNL has played them 7 times.

Iowa and Nebraska have each played Michigan 7 times, and like I said Michigan dodged Iowa in 2020. We’ve played the big three in the east more than Nebraska has.
Thank you!

Another Iowa fan that free admits that players/teams dodge other players/teams. Just like the Iowa QB did and that Iowa CB did last year. It is not a bad thing, it was smart on their end.

Michigan dodged Iowa and blamed Covid. Iowa QB and CB dodged NU and blamed an injury. They had an out, they took it, it was smart.

Thank you, E. Roger, for being now the SECOND Iowa poster to agree with me.

I agree. I don’t think we will win, but it will be close which is really funny. I will laugh my ass off watching their stupid fans cry if we pull it off.

Kong is right. The Big 10 totally sucks except for a few teams. The fact that Nebraska is favored over the Big 10 West champs just proves it.
Exactly which conference doesn’t suck other than their top few teams?

As an Iowa fan for me personally. #1 Wisconsin. #2 minnesota #3 Nebraska #4 Iowa state.

2,3,4 can flip depending on quality of team at the time. But Wisconsin has been #1 for a long long time.

Personally living in MN, likely leans gophers heavier than others. But to be honest Nebraska comes in 3rd or 4th on Iowa fans most hated list.

Early on we never expected to win and didn’t win much. Then we came to new era where we have won a lot but it never really mattered much.

I think it can become a dynamite rivalry where big implications are on the line. But for the most part over 15 years it’s never been close to that. Just a border rival,
Do you frequent the Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa State boards as much as you do this board?

I don't believe one bit of that. Save that BS for somebody who doesn't know better. Iowa ain't saving shit lol. They coming to win this game and they ain't "resting" nobody.

Why would Iowa unload everything? What’s in it for them? Ppl like Logan Jones, tried going the last two weeks. Has made it 3 total series. Players like that I imagine will rest. (Obviously could be wrong)

Players and coaches will want to win. They will be motivated. If one team was gonna throw the kitchen sink at the game and you were laying money, which team you betting on?

That’s all I’m saying.

I’ll take you at your word for your feelings living in Minnesota, for the cast majority of iowa fans the game against Nebraska is at the top of their wish to win list. Iowa fans sh1tty behavior after last seasons game is the proof.

Very well could be correct. That’s my personal view. But as I stated, I live in MN,
So the Gopher/IA hate is constant. I border WI, the BTW has come down between us a lot over the past 5-8 years.

Maybe Iowa fans in western Iowa hate Nebraska much greater than I.

None the less, I think Rhule has you in the right direction. The resurgence of Nebraska is good for the entire conference/ rivalry.

I’m sure it will be a very tight game Friday. The last 4 weeks of the BTW has been the same for every team. Capable of winning or losing to any team you play. When you have such bad offensive teams that’s how it will always go. Which encompasses the entire BTW

You neglected to address the fact that iowa fan behavior after last seasons game was appalling.

Either one would take care of Ioway in a bowl game..

Mizzou will have a better bowl game. But they would embarrass Ioway..
There’s no way to know that for sure unless they play. Remember when Spurrier and his Gators were going to destroy us in the Fiesta Bowl?

it's worse than i thought. look at this hilarious fanfiction. a story that definitely happened and everybody clapped for afterwards

“I’ll take made up things that never happened for $500 Alex…”

C’mon dingle, you really compare Ioway offense ( worst in FBS) to the Huskers 95 offense..🤪

Pal, you have a brain fart on this one or too many bourbons..

No, I mean like finding new and inventive ways to just miss bowl eligibility. You really have to work at it. Hats off to Nebraska’s relentless pursuit of mediocrity!
Wisconsin stole our mojo so now we have to come for yours. Freaking great... I guess I'll be waving at hospitals and flirting with relatives this weekend.

You think either of them wouldn’t be able take down the mighty Big 10 West champs?

I can't believe someone is disputing that the current BIG sucks lol. Outside of Mich,OSU and PSU (barely) the BIG sucks donkey balls.

Yes the SEC is a much better conference and teams like Mizzu, Tennessee, and Ole Miss are much better than the bottom 9 and would probably beat PSU or at least play em pretty even with that "little league offense" Franklin's team ran this year.

It's OK to say it. I know people hate the SEC but they are a much better conference this year. Pac 10 is also a better conference this year.

I hope you are trolling. Otherwise you are as dumb as a box of rocks.

If a guy is hurt and can't go of course he won't go. That's not "sitting out starters". That's injured players not playing lol. Hell if that's the case we have guys who we are gonna "sit out" too lol.

Dude Iowa coming to Lincoln with every player capable of playing PLAYING and they are gonna try and kick Nebraskas ass. To think anything else is ridiculous. But believe what you will. Whatever helps you sleep better . Or in your case whatever helps you handle the possible disappointment should your team lose.

Injured players on both sides will sit. That happens every week.

But why would Ferentz rest players in a game Iowa should win, to get ready for a game in which they'll get boatraced by 40 points?

And yes, I would say the exact same thing if Nebraska was in the same position. There isn't a team in the West that stands a snowball's chance of winning the conference championship game.

What's the scoop on Henrich?

Didn't he get injured late in the game last week?

Would he be the leader of the defense?

Hutmacher is the make or break guy.

When he wasn't out there against Wisconsin, the defense was noticeably softer and getting gashed on the run.

I'm not saying he is on the same level as Suh, but the dropoff when he wasn't out there felt the same way Pelini's defense looked without him. Streaky and prone to giving up big plays.

These games at the end of the season can really come down to which team is the healthiest.

Sounds like both teams have really struggled all year with them. I know we have.

Iowa, with the exception of a punter and one defensive player, has no players that really justify sitting anyway. KF is playing everyone. Also, I thought I read somewhere that KF just hit a 60% winning percentage with last weeks win. This is usually the benchmark for the college football hall of fame(or something stupid like that). So, if he loses against NEB, then retires(which he wont), he may drop back down to 59%. Its not a big deal, but may give KF a little more incentive to win the game.

Huskers are down their top 2 RB's, top 2 WR's, probably their best QB, and a couple OL. eye test alone, i have felt that the OL has gotten better since cycling in young guys.

you won't get this honesty anywhere else, but i'm not entirely sure how much of a difference the injuries have made for the Huskers. the offense still looks relatively the same in terms of production.

its hard to trust a coaching staff that had Jeff Sims as QB1 to start the season, when he's clearly the worst one by far. who knows what they have at any of the positions.

He will drop below 60% after losing the BTCCCG and the bowl.
