OT: Have you ever acid stained a concrete patio?

My wife and I are in the process of getting bids to have a new patio poured behind our house (also buildng a new deck).

I've been watching videos on acid staining concrete and it looks pretty simple. And although I'm not a very handy guy I think I can handle this task. Anybody had any experience in doing this?
