OT- DC commercial plane and Blackhawk collide

He's perfect for DC. He says so much that he can always point back to something that was right while ignoring all the nonsense he said.
Hilarious thing is he thinks 6 to 8 seconds is enough time for control to correct a ceiling breach in that area and control ordering pass behind is permission for ceiling breach.

The plane's altitude suggests the Army helicopter was flying above 200 feet − the maximum altitude for the route it was using. Yet the control tower's radar apparently showed the helicopter at 200 feet at the time of the accident, though that information has not been confirmed. "That's what our job is, to figure that out," NTSB board member Todd Inman said.

When you desperately want to be right about something, this is what suffices as indisputable proof.

Plus they need to be at the elevation needed to avoid collision with visual separation so even if they were at 200 feet (highly doubtful) it's still on them. They could have been at 100 to be on the same side. That airspace belonged to the landing commercial jet

In the end it still falls on the chopper. They asked and received visual separation besides being asked multiple times do you see the CRJ .
I don’t disagree They saw the wrong plane and were short a crew chief. My initial statement was trusting the training of that chopper crew. As it turns out the dedicated helicopter controller WHO LEFT WORK EARLY might have been able to prevent this accident. It’s one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Why the F did that controller leave that post early? Why the F did the commander of that helicopter allow them to fly short a crew chief. Why the F is that an approved route to begin with. Some want to place all the blame on the pilot when in fact they rely on multiple other people to do their jobs. It wasn’t just the yard dart pilot that F’d up.

My initial reaction to trust that Blackhawk crew over a green pilot flying a very old small jet was just that. An initial reaction. There was WAY more certainty expressed by some on here that it was solely that Blackhawk’s pilot’s fault and that the collision happened at or near 500’. That was completely false. She was depending on multiple people who also failed in their roles.

did she go above 200’?

It was never the AA pilot’s fault. I don’t give a shit if Air Force 1 crashed into them.

Perhaps if your initial reaction - which included calling the airline pilot "a guy flying basically an ancient commuter plane for an AA subcontractor" - had not come at the exact same time that you were lecturing others about speculating on the cause of the crash without sufficient facts, it would be more defensible and far less embarrassing.

Don't forget the deleted post where he blamed DEI for air traffic controllers.

Like I said earlier. He's so perfect for DC. Say a bunch of shit, then pick out the part where you were right, brag about it, while ignoring all the things you said that were wrong.

Don’t forget all the Brother in laws that he has .

More I see of the video and the more I hear people smarter than me talk about it (spent an embarrassing amount of time listening to blackhawk and other hopticopter pilots talk about this over the weekend)...combined with the weird way this was handled after...I have no choice but to at least entertain the idea that chick flying the Blackhawk flew right into that plane, on purpose.

I can get behind the Mexican tariffs. Including Canada just seems stupid, especially when they offered to step up and create a stronger alliance on border security. How many people and how much drugs cross from Canada?

I honestly wonder how many people truly understand what our border with Canada is like. One dipshit congressman proposed a wall with Canada.

I'm here for all of it and hope this doesn't end up with Canada and Mexico forming a stronger Chinese trade alliance.
It’s a powerful negotiating tool and roughly double the illegal entries of people on terrorist watch lists etc are coming through Canada. We call them tariffs but most of that should more accurately be called countervailing duties. We’ve gotten several countries to accept back their criminal migrants only by threats of tariffs. Hopefully it’s not a long term deal.

6-8 seconds is enough time for a helicopter to make a 25 foot change in altitude. The problem is that it appears the crew chief and pilot were looking at the wrong plane which you earlier denied was even in the area.

The art of the deal. Mexico already caved. Canada and beta boy will be next. #Winning!!

There is a shortage of controllers and multiple officials have stated that they can’t fill their classes because of quotas which end up excluding white males. THAT was my point. They’re reaching to take less qualified applicants and the quotas restrict how many white males they can take regardless of qualifications. I’m not saying a black woman is the reason the crash happened. I’m saying a shortage of controllers, the stress, and the hours they have to work due to quotas for the training and hiring contributed to a controller having to man two stations. It’s silly to believe that not having that dedicated helicopter controller in place couldn’t have prevented this accident.
