I have the DVD of the 1971 Orange Bowl and will enjoy watching it tonight, Husker history..

All our lives we always watched the Orange or Sugar bowls on New years night.

Prayers for the lost lives in New Orleans.

You can watch it on YT if you don't have the DVD

Here's the 1972 version if that's what you meant

I get why they moved it. But why play at 3 o’clock. Everyone is back working.

Really? I hadn’t planned on getting back to work until Monday at the soonest. I thought that was kind of a given with this effed up holiday schedule this year

Kind of miss all the big games being played on J1. I know the current system makes more money but it was fun to watch everything go down on a single day.
Me too. Setting up three TVs the day before cuz you never knew what condition you'd be in New Year's morning. Then getting up by 10 to start it off and watching games on ABC, CBS and NBC until the Orange Bowl or Sugar Bowl ended the day.

Oh to have those days back.

Work? What’s that? I’m retired. But I can imagine the mess now created with hotel and airlines accommodations. I had that same feeling yesterday about all the new years bowls that used to be played and how I miss that. It’s not the same anymore. I miss the days of waiting for the Orange Bowl at night and Don Crique doing the game. The best of times.
