You said it was “all about character.” If that’s the case, policy really doesn’t matter much to you, if at all. For someone who prides themselves on common sense and logic, I would think you’d get that. For my elected officials, the only part of character that matters is, do they mean what they say and are they going to actually follow through with it. Just about every single one of them have major character issues, so yeah, you thinking him too mean is true and it matters to you. I don’t care particularly care for the way that one guy goes about his business sometimes, but so long as he is taking care of business, that what he is there for. I don’t want to be friends with government, and I’m not naive enough to think that the character of anyone of them is that much better than another. l can be 100% confident that this country would be f’d 3 ways from Sunday had the other person won.
If you rely solely on their character, and not on the policy, you are one of the weak. Lots of people have what they think are really good ideas and think the person in charge is doing it wrong, but many of those same people have zero leadership ability, no offense to you personally. There are leaders, and there are followers. It is fairly easy to distinguish between the two.
We’re trying Ringo, we’re trying really hard to be the shepherd.
