Love all 3. Pappy is very good , but not as good as it's price.Blanton's, Eagle Rare and BT been my top 3 so far. Would love to try Pappy VW, Stagg and Sazerac. Heard good things on all those.
Nothing wrong with a nice glass of wine or 4. Maybe that's just me ....I've been drinking way too much wine lately
time to get back on the bourbon train
Finally found some Sazarec 6 year. I’ll give it a try this week. Paid $27 at Total Wine & More in California.
Couldn’t find any eagle rare 😒

I bet it tastes like mediocrity. LolYeah.... no. LOL
It's legendary. Just like the Iowa Hawkeyes.I bet it tastes like mediocrity. Lol
If You drink that .. you’ll wake up in barn full of hogs with a white suit.Yeah.... no. LOL
My bargain bourbon is actually Trader Joe's house label at $15 a bottle . Stacks up favorably with most $25-30 bottles imo
Of all the garbage whiskies, Evan Williams is top of the heap. Take that to the bank!Pound for pound, It's tough to beat Evan Williams BIB for the money.
I’ve never cared for ryes. I like lots of Bourbons so maybe I just haven’t tasted a good rye.Buffalo Trace is my bourbon of choice....I also really appreciate Masterson's 10 year old Rye it has a great flavor...I have been nursing a bottle of that for a while...it is almost empty!
Appreciate your taste, bourbons are a little sweeter when comparing.I’ve never cared for ryes. I like lots of Bourbons so maybe I just haven’t tasted a good rye.

Haha your bar at home is full of Kirkland and Evan Williams.. I think I’ll pass on that invite 🤣Evan Williams is the king of value bourbon and Evan Williams BiB would smash Sazerac Rye in a blind testing for 95%+ of the population no doubt in my mind. Probably beat Buffalo Trace as well.

I’m not a big 1792 fan.. if I was, I would buy Kirkland. I’ll stick to my Blanton’s.Kirkland Single Barrel still holding up very well against bourbons twice its price. Have a few recent barrel proof offerings from JD, EC, and others that are all very similar in quality. If you enjoy paying double, triple, or even more for an inferior product that is your prerogative.
EW BIB punches way above its weight class. So does ET BIB and OF100.Evan Williams is the king of value bourbon and Evan Williams BiB would smash Sazerac Rye in a blind testing for 95%+ of the population no doubt in my mind. Probably beat Buffalo Trace as well.
I should have known there was a thread about this. I’ll be going through and taking notes.
Join the Buffalo Trace family. Blanton's, Eagle Rare, etc. You won't be disappointed.I should have known there was a thread about this. I’ll be going through and taking notes.
I enjoy all those. Blanton's is in the regular rotation. Currently have that, Rabbit Hole Heigold, Rabbit Hole Cavehill and Bulleit Rye in the house.Join the Buffalo Trace family. Blanton's, Eagle Rare, etc. You won't be disappointed.
Are you in Lincoln? I can't find Blanton's or any Buffalo Trace at any stores here. Have to order online for a higher price.I enjoy all those. Blanton's is in the regular rotation. Currently have that, Rabbit Hole Heigold, Rabbit Hole Cavehill and Bulleit Rye in the house.
I should buy Eagle Rare more often.
I am in Lincoln. I get it from The Still but I’m on a list where they email each time they have it in stock. Not sure if they even still add people to it.Are you in Lincoln? I can't find Blanton's or any Buffalo Trace at any stores here. Have to order online for a higher price.
Thanks. If you read through this thread I posted a few articles on Buffalo Trace firing its national distributor and ramping up production. Hopefully it starts making its way to the shelves here in the Midwest.I am in Lincoln. I get it from The Still but I’m on a list where they email each time they have it in stock. It’s worth a shot though. Email info@thestill.com and ask to be placed on the list.
I'll be sipping on some 18-year Whistle Pig tomorrow during the super bowl
I do like Maker's, too
Love Whistle Pig rye.No, it’s a Rye. I’ve had a couple bottles of the 10 year old, it’s really good. Spicy like all those ryes, but kind of fruity too, if I remember right.
The regular Buffalo Trace is just as good as Blantons to me. Eagle Rare is better than both.Thanks. All good stuff. The Blanton's is kinda overpriced at the site I buy it at. Eagle Rare has been the best bang for the buck. Just bought a bottle of Bulleit for 30 bucks. Pretty solid bourbon for the price. The regular Buffalo Trace is just as good as Blantons to me. Eagle Rare is better than both.
Blanton is hard to find in Omaha too..Buffalo Trace is hit and miss, been enjoying Elijah Craig the past couple of weeks..All good stuff. The Blanton's is kinda overpriced at the site I buy it at.
