Mo is no longer with the team

Can’t remember a time this kid wasn’t in trouble. At some point, it becomes a lost cause. I wish he would stay but it doesn’t look good.
Almost certainly is some sort of mental health issue. Many African American men do not get encouraged or have been actively discouraged from seeking mental health services. LPs issues were clearly mental health related and actually started after his freshman year at NU. If the culture was more open to him getting actual help from a professional then no doubt he would be alive and his legacy different. I am proud of the fact that Frosty is willing to be bring him back and get him help and provide him support, even if he never plays another snap. Selfishly this will only give more mothers encouragement that he has the best interest of their children at heart. The fact that he has gone from being treated like a blue-chip player, to being used as a precedent for the largest state in the union to fight against cyber harassment, to being a star running back, to being criticized for being weak and uncommitted, and is being heavily relied upon because his team is garbage has no doubt compounded an already perilous situation.

we should of had him as a receiver or wingback his legs are too fragile. mills is the only guy we got to bang it up the middle.
maybe wandel if he puts some beef on.
too bad they couldn't have figured out a way to get all 3 on the field at the same time.

If the team was better and he was less injury prone, this would be a big deal. But since neither is true we should be OK to get those 6 wins even without him.

Mo was lucky he lasted as long as he did. When you fail a drug test after you already got busted in the summer it shows maturity and learning issues. Then showing up smelling like weed to practices and team meetings and skipping classes. Not good things at all. Was a lockerroom cancer this year. He wasn't a team player. IMO the last straw was going to CA and not returning.

I listened to the entire PC. That's NOT what coach Frost said. He said is not going to play this week but still on the team and still enrolled. Went further with Coach speak leaving the door open so it could swing either way. Said we have standards that we expect players to abide by. Give the players opportunities to do the right thing but you can only go so far when they can't have their back anymore (paraphrase).

BUT at no time did he say Mo was off the team.
Frost also said "he did not know if Mo was still attending class." Sounds like big lack of communication on the kids part.

Frost wouldn't say that he's suspended from what I could understand. Sound quality was terrible from his press conference. It sounds as if his return might be possible.

sounds like the ball is in

i think most of us will agree, Frost has been dealing with Mo for a long time. bet a lot more has been going on that we may never hear about. i just think they are ready to move on.

Hmm. Guess I missed that. I thought in yesterday's PC his answer was "as far as I know".

A lot of the 700 pound squatters on this board have probably never done nothing wrong but the charge against this kid is brutal. Many HS students keep awkward weird stuff from relationships, and many are vindictive and hateful towards exs, especially is they perceive they were cheated on. Especially a kid with trust issues in the first place. Nobody on this board has been publicly and wrongly made guilty of being a pedophile, or sex offender, or molester, or whatever has been portrayed by the media. Some media have basically been portraying him as a rapist, and the person who took the footage, then as the person who held the footage, and now as one of the hundreds who happened to still have it but was stupid and sent to a mom. Being 18 and stupid doesn't warrant a national scarlet letter, without context, a national headline on ESPN promoting that Mo is a possible sex offender, without context. Weed is legal in his home state, and legal for him, if he uses it to get through this time, with possible jail time in his future...then so be it...let the kid change positions..let the kid come back. And the team is awful anyway, and he is a future star that can help the team, so who cares about the "locker room". For some reason locker room issues only affect certain players, not Wandale, not Cam Taylor...

It's probably a lot more common than you think. People have been put on the sex offender list for a lot less than what Mo was alleged to have done. Even public urination can get you labeled as a sex offender.

Is this the same guy that should be in jail for the underage porn thing or a different guy?? I honestly don’t know, not a good look either way.

The fact that no one sees this is amazing.

With Mo it’s not even about the sex video anymore. Just an inability to grow as a person. The staff bent quite a bit, possibly to the detriment of team morale.
This. So much this.

Granted, he was a risk coming in. Unfortunately, taking that risk burned the program in the end. Hopefully he gets it together but I'm doubtful he is going to find a better support system elsewhere.

Yeah we got it. He’s not responsible for anything he does. Noted.

I mean, it’s still a little bit about the sex video.

But I get your premise.

A lot of people thing he should have been kicked off the team when the video allegations/details came out, so this other stuff would be a moot point to them.

Im sure frost knows whats up, some things you just have to leave to the coach. us internet fans can't all be hanging round the facilities all the time keeping tabs on players mental state.

I believe that all males, whether they be black, white, red, or yellow, have difficulty asking for help when they are struggling with mental health issues, because they equate it with weakness. I hope he can trust that Frost and his staff have his best interest in mind, and he allows them to help him however they can.

Are you the same guy that was involved in the gay porn thing, or was it the barnyard animal porn thing? Not a good look either way..

So Mo is the reason why the offense has sucked so bad??

I wonder what it is that he has done to all of a sudden be the detriment of the offense or now be called the cancer on the team? A little weed makes a guy a cancer?

He probably doesn't want to play with a bunch of losers with weak fragile minds and called out a few people.. but of course you can't call out Scott's hand picked guys, esp when they are the ones who suck.

If it wasn't for Mo's other legal issues, I'd tell him to pack up and find another program that isn't circling the drain, because that is where we are right now.. like a once proud log, we going round and round the bowl.

Seems to me they are all pretty much on equal footing when it comes to suckiness.

Good luck to the young man. Dude didn’t seem to fit in on the team at times. Kind of a wacky guy. Got called out several times and didn’t grow up. Hate to see someone that talented throw it all away.

If he was in a groove and improving his on and off the field performance, the sex vid would still be there, but the story would be how he was positively approaching his situation. If the sex vid never existed, Mo actions since would put him exactly where he is now. A player with great talent in the process of squandering it.

Weed is not legal for him to use in Nebraska and it is not legal for him to use in his home state as I believe he is still under 21. I would also imagine Frost, Moos, and the university as a whole would not/will never condone players self medicating to get through tough times.

Weed is legal in his home state, and legal for him, if he uses it to get through this time, with possible jail time in his future...then so be it..
