Finally a good pick and roll and Allick kicks it out for another missed 3 instead of just finishing. Man, we're really going to miss Walker with his high kisses off the backboard.
This has all the makings of a game that sneaks up and is suddenly "holy shit we're gonna lose!"

Lawrence can absolutely fly in the open court. That's how they need to use him, instead of as a Johnny Walk-it-up-the-Court PG.
Dear Fred: Take the damn training wheels off Lawrence and get him out in the open court, and he'll be All Big Ten before he's done here.
Wilcher is streaky. When he is on, he is decent from outside and also has a few inside moves. Unfortunately he doesn’t have quite the strength or hops to consistently score at the basket.
Should be only a role player.

Like a lot of teams, we struggle to find an inside game. Have to start it from the high post. That is where Walker was so good last year. Allick and Mast need to fill that role.
So don't get dragged into a half-court game. Push the pace, run the floor, take advantage of finally having some depth.

nobody loves the half court game more than him, which is surprising given his lack of imagination/movement in it
Good win by the Huskers. Rider was a much tougher team than I thought. Very physical and high effort team. Good game to have under your belt early.

Don't know how much better or worse we will be this year but love the way we rebound and box out.

He most likely bets on Nebraska games way too much. I know a lot of gamblers and when they lose the wishes of death upon players/coaches comes out. Classic gambling symptom.
emotional is watching us pile up 3 steals and zero blocks, shoot 33% and thinking "nice win"
I want to see actual competitive basketball, not the merry band of loser misfits yet again
Kind of like thinking a “nice win” in football is watching a Qb throw for less than 50 percent and get 3 passes batted down per game (and 2 + turnovers). In the end, it’s all in the eye of the beholder.
