Just Cut Sims already

It’s the coaches fault for running him there. Or running the ball at all after a decent punt. Mind numbingly stupid considering the situation, the player, and how the defense has played today. Don’t try to prove anything. Just win and be flicking smart.

I honestly don't think Sims has any interest in playing football. There's simply no way you could lose your job 6 games ago for being a turnover machine and then get another opportunity to play and fumble within 4 plays. Sims has absolutely zero awareness or concept of what turnovers really do to a team.

He's just taking up a scholarship. That's all he's here for.

He was supportive in the backup role, but has no business being in the game. Maybe find another position for him not involving touching the ball on every play.
The guy cannot hold onto the ball at all. Haarberg had fumbles today but it's just not the constant that we see from Sims. Sims couldn't go one series without a fumble.
To win the west ball control will be critical against Iowa and Wisconsin.
On the plus side the adversity at the end of the game will keep them from getting cocky and careless going into the stretch. This is still fixable.

Sims had a chance to redeem himself and he flubbed a running play and then fumbled on a keeper. And I feel the same way about Grant. Even though his fumble was ruled not a fumble he came damn close to it. He had a chance to prove he could hang onto the ball in a game and blew it.

Agree but unlike Frost and Joseph, Ruhle seems like he learns from these mistakes.

Today was improved other than the fumbles. At least his fumbles were fighting for yards. Unlike Sims who was just fighting to go down and not get blasted.
Rhule just said some players blocked incorrectly. That didn't help but that fumble was so bad.

Sims is a very talented kid who has totally lost his confidence! He's had past success at his previous team. Just not working out for him here. Either way if we're going to compete, we need a transfer QB and move Haarberg to TE.

Sims was not successful at Georgia Tech.

He was 8-15 as a starter there. That's not team success.

He threw 31 TD's against 27 INT's and 10 lost fumbles. (37 turnovers). That's not individual success.

I was hoping that he'd get in today near the end of the game because a dirty team coached by a Colorado alum at HC with an entire quarter of garbage time is a recipe for getting your starter hurt in the bottom of a pile. I cannot believe he can't go even a couple plays without turning the wrong way to hand off or coughing up the ball.

Outside of the coaches being apparently desperate for a QB, Sims should not have been brought here.

“Considering the situation,” I have no problem sitting Haarberg after the fumble for a series with at lead that we had. I was thinking we should decline the penalty after the punt, but at least the question “does Sims deserve another chance” was answered with a two-score lead.

Dude, Sims is 3-7, 2-4, 3-4, and 0-2 as a starter.

He gives footballs away like he's the Wilson Co.

WTF are you seeing?

At some point we’re probably gonna need a backup QB. I really don’t think Rhule had any thought that there was any way we were going to lose the game. It was a good chance to get Sims some game reps. Ouch. Didn’t go well.
