Rienk Mast is our best big man but he is seating out the season.

Yeah he’s going against power 4 teams now He padded his stats against Omaha Balloon University and now is exposed for the crap he is.
Meah averages 15 minutes a game. Usually he starts the game but doesn’t see much action late in games. Lately, he’s doesn’t start.
Wasn’t expecting winning in Madison but I didn’t think we would lose by double digits and more likely blown out of the gym yet.
Most coaches seem to think they’ll be struck dead if they don’t run the same five out there to start both halves, so it wasn’t a huge surprise. But in this case you would think someone on the staff might have pulled Fred aside and said, “You did see the first 6 minutes of the game, right?”
Anyone know the Vegas line/number was for total wins on the season? Well, whatever it is I’m guessing Brice Williams has the unders…

All depends on how well the head coach takes feedback from staff. If he typical ignores them then no one will pull him aside

Off topic: Have you notice how Wisconsin isn’t even into this game?They’re laughing. Hell, Klesmit was looking into the crowd and not even guarding when we had the ball. So embarrassing!
If/when does the heat turn up on Fred? This team has the look of one that has Q.
The heat may turn up some this season. But once again will need to pull in 10 or so transfers and hope they somehow gel together next season. The transfers have been underwhelming this year and if not for Gary and Williams return I’m not sure we would have a winning record.
I now there are a lot of "But but Fred just needs more time" and "But but he made the dance last year" fans but, come on.
The fact that there are fans that think it is okay if NU misses the BTT, well that is insane.
I don’t think Fred is under any real heat from our AD. I’m guessing he gets at least 2 more years at minimum.
He’ll get another year despite this dumpster fire. But back to back years missing the B1G tourney… if he’s not fired after that then Dannen should be gone.
Yeah he’s safe this year. Being likable is a good hedge to cover up your shortcomings
It will be tough to make a change any sooner than that, given that the interim AD decided to Santa Claus him an extension through 2029.
I get that last season was fairly successful. But most places that would fall under the category of doing your job, not grounds to a ticker tape parade.
it depends on how this year ends up . Right now it’s not looking good. But if we don’t make the conference tournament this year . Fred has to be on Notice next year to make some major improvement or else.
I really think he’s on Plan D with some of the transfers he brought in. If this is the best we can afford, that would be sad.

I guess I don't understand why some fans are up in arms about Fred possibly getting canned, like, are they worried a new hire would also not make the BTT and the dance?
