Gov. Pete Ricketts has declared Saturday “Scott Frost Day.”

Ricketts issued the proclamation Friday morning in advance of Frost’s debut as Husker coach in a Saturday night matchup against Akron at Memorial Stadium.

The proclamation reads in part: “Nebraska football fans from all over the country want to welcome Scott home and wish him the best as he begins his new journey at his alma mater! I, Pete Ricketts, Governor of the State of Nebraska, do hereby proclaim the 1st day of September, 2018, as Scott Frost Day.”

The proclamation mentions Frost’s Nebraska roots, plus his success as both a Husker quarterback and coach at the University of Central Florida.

The proclamation also urges “all citizens to take due notice of the observance.”

Just guessing here, but that probably won’t be a problem.

Go Big Red!!

I thought every day was Scott Frost day except this week when it was TG day?
