Yeah the Jays had great chances to open up a lead in the first half when St John’s was ice cold, and let them slip away. You knew the Johnnies would heat up eventually. They have a lot of weapons.Dang Creighton with the nuclear meltdown right now against St John's
Kst has a lot longer history in men’s basketball than Nebraska not even close and I’m no kst fanYes add in Kansas St to that list. I would find it very hard to believe that KState puts more into its program than Nebraska does. Yes they were down some the last 2 years but they do very well in comparison.
Two years ago K-St was in the sweet 16.Kst has a lot longer history in men’s basketball than Nebraska not even close and I’m no kst fan
Hurley is a dick . But the ring gesture shows how stupid the creighton kid is . You do that to a coach who won back to back championships while you and your university has won absolutely squat in that category.Followed it up with motioning to his ring finger was reference to Hurly’s actions after the game in Omaha. It was a big FU at Hurley by Neal. Funny that UConn player put his dukes up like a hockey player ready to dance around with Neal. Neal would have bitch slapped him into next week. Also enjoyed McDermott giving Bill Murray’s kid an earful with Bill looking on. Good stuff.

K St threw a huge bag of money at Coleman Hawkins.Yes add in Kansas St to that list. I would find it very hard to believe that KState puts more into its program than Nebraska does. Yes they were down some the last 2 years but they do very well in comparison.
Exactly. And they face the same issues that Nebraska does in terms of location in fact it’s even worse, Manhattan compared to Lincoln. Yet they win at K State. So those that say it’s too hard to win in a place like Lincoln are lying to themselvesKst has a lot longer history in men’s basketball than Nebraska not even close and I’m no kst fan
Not a Jayskers or Mavsker, but sure would love to know the feeling of my team making it to a conference tournament championship game. It’s great to see creighton lose to St. John’s loved it! Screw you jayskers
I think St. John’s is one of the few teams that can matchup athletically and physically with those top SEC teams.Felt like St. Johns didn't miss a shot in the last 10min last nite. Brutal stretch for the Jays.
They did make 14 in a row! Unsure how they could lose to anyone when you have a half like that, shot 71%Felt like St. Johns didn't miss a shot in the last 10min last nite. Brutal stretch for the Jays.

All depends on matchups and officials. That’s what makes the NCAAs fun. You’re going to see officials not give anyone preferential treatment like you might or would normally.I think St. John’s is one of the few teams that can matchup athletically and physically with those top SEC teams.
Yep . That’s why for the most part the Big 10 teams don’t fair well in the tournament. All depends on matchups and officials. That’s what makes the NCAAs fun. You’re going to see officials not give anyone preferential treatment like you might or would normally.

I wish they’d “nationalize” (for lack of a better term) NCAA officiating instead of doing it conference by conference. Have one single association and pool of officials (with NCAA oversight I guess 🤷♂️) for the entire D1. Officiating teams get assigned (Randomly) to games in any conference. Highest rated officials have better odds of getting selected for high profile P4/P5 matchups. Officials are graded on performance and the highest grades make more money and get the better games. And start reviewing certain non-subjective penalties. (Offsides, false start, too many players, grounding, illegal forward pass, ineligible man down field etc…)
Very similar to something I suggested in mid-January. Eliminate conference affiliations. Have a true, independent evaluation of their performance. I would venture a guess that B1G refs like Pfieffer, Lurch, and others would end up reffing in the Horizon league.
Jays get sent to Lexington to play Louisville in an 8-9 game. Winner gets Auburn.
I don’t agree giving an 8 seed games 80 miles from their campus.Creighton draws Chucky and Louisville in the 1st round and the game is in Kentucky.....with Auburn in the 2nd round if they win. Talk about a tough draw.

Yeah it kind of sucks, but the Jays do have some warts on their resume. Besides losing at home to the Huskers, they got boatraced at Georgetown and Xavier and blew a big lead at home that cost them a sweep of UConn.Tough draw, looks they were the last 9 seed and almost fell to the 10 line. That’s a pretty rough draw for the Big East runner up.

Omaha gets St. John’sKentucky getting a 3 seed at 22-11 is fvcking criminal. Don’t tell me the committee doesn’t favor certain programs. Kentucky should’ve been a 6 at best.
Yep that’s BSJayhawks (#7) get the same royal treatment, getting sent all the way to Wichita.
Actually, I was mistaken about that. KU got sent to Providence. Same regional as the Wichita teams, but the Jayhawks do have to travel.Yep that’s BS
I guess I didn’t pay attention I just saw they play Arkansas.Actually, I was mistaken about that. KU got sent to Providence. Same regional as the Wichita teams, but the Jayhawks do have to travel.
Being a 10 is so much better than even being an 8…and it’s not even close.Creighton’s win over UCONN did nothing for them they were the last 9 would have been better off losing to DePaul and taking a 10
Unless you're UConn. Then you get an 8-9 game against a team that was projected to barely squeeze into the tournament.Being a 10 is so much better than even being an 8…and it’s not even close.
Yeah if that wasn’t a benefit of being 2 time defending champion.Unless you're UConn. Then you get an 8-9 game against a team that was projected to barely squeeze into the tournament.
Makes you wonder how much longer teams will even bother to try in their conference tournaments. Michigan played its ass off all week and still got a worse seed than media darlings Wisconsin and Purdue. Auburn paid no price for losing to Tennessee.Yeah if that wasn’t a benefit of being 2 time defending champion.
Omaha gets St. John’s
Creighton was the top 9 seed. Per ncaa seed list which is released. This bracket makes no sense. The sec getting so many in may have messed with seeding and matchups way too much. With super conferences continuing to grow, the ncaa needs to make changes because their match up guidelines don’t work with 14 teams from the same conference.Creighton’s win over UCONN did nothing for them they were the last 9 would have been better off losing to DePaul and taking a 10
Yep that’s Basically what the chair said in the interview. They had to move some teams around. Creighton got one of the short straws while UCONN might have benefited by getting a shaky Oklahoma team in the 8-9 game. But I agree they are going to have ti change somethingCreighton was the top 9 seed. Per ncaa seed list which is released. This bracket makes no sense.
