Money is on many recruits minds these days. Wouldn't be surprised if that is what's at play here. Wouldn't be the first time, nor the last.

Exactly, not like we are dealing with top tier talent. Hate to lose him but nothing we can't make up down the road.
No. You can't make up guys who can come in and immediately hit the 2-deep "down the road." There is a gap of 2+ years when you're talking about a JUCO soph or jr. vs a 2nd-or-3rd choice kid out of HS in when they can be ready to play. NU needs talent and depth upgrades NOW which is why they are looking at so many JUCO guys in the first place.
Attrition hurts. I don't know how many writers need to do how many articles before that sinks in. Losing commits and having players wash out of the program decimates the talent level, and we've seen the results of that the last few years as NU fields teams at the talent level of Northwestern and Purdue and gets a record to match.
