He hasn’t had a chance to put a lot of film together. He backed up big bro his sophomore year. So he’s started 1 year of HS football
he led Buford further in the state playoffs last year then Dylan did the year before. And Dayton probably had less talent around him than Dylan is. GA HS football is elite
He’s shorter then what people like @ QB, and shorter then Dylan so that’s part of the reason why the low offers
And if the staff is going to carry 5 QBs on the 105, I see no reason not to bring in 2 QBs in 2026. Warren and Dayton are likley better than Longval, Soukup, and Granstamd

Maybe so. Do I think he’d be offered without his bro or last name? Anyone that tells you different is insane. But he isn’t his brother. Dylan’s don’t come to us every year
It will be interesting to see what he does this year as second year starter. And maybe it’s too risky to take projects anymore but if he doesn’t cut the mustard, you can move him much quicker then you use to. Plus I find it hard to think Dylan stays past his Jr season. So you could move Dayton much easier then
Dayton has grown to 6'2 so his height is not a problem. Still growing as well.
He starts at a Georgia powerhouse, he didn't win the position by default. Dayton has a higher YPC average than Dylan did on a team with far less WR talent. He has an elite arm and has had a lot of advanced coaching. His lack of offers probably comes from the fact that he is about as sure of a "lock" to go to NU than any one is a lock anywhere.

I have no idea. Just was pointing out a few things. From hat I've read he is pretty accurate on short and intermediate but kinda erratic on long balls.
He's going into his junior year and has one year of starting. Let's see how he progresses. He has two years to get those other offers.

If you have a chance to get the #1 rated 5* player in the country you do it. Even if it means keeping his relative employed and giving his brother a scholarship. No brainer.

Yup it's definitely a catch 22. Recruit and sign guys like Kaelin, McMorris and Hall etc and we celebrate. A year later two are basically "processsed" out and the other leaves.
The old "he's likely to stick around" mantra isn't really a good deal unless the kid is really good. Borderline and below average kids will he gone in 2 years anyways. Lately we have recruited and signed many more of that version of kids than stars. Especially if we are talking skill positions. It's not been the best.
I'm not sure how we can afford to sign "marginal" instate guys moving forward. Even the ones we thought were "good" ended up meh.
I've said it in the past but the more these new 105 rules come into play the more I think you have to grade guys evenly regardless of where they are from. I'm comparing every instate OL,DL, QB etc with his national competition and whoever is the best should get the offer. If they flame out they flame out.

who knows, maybe the younger bro developes into the better football player. stranger things have happened. if after a couple three years things don't work out it;s not like we were guaranteed it would work out differently with someone else.
If you keep 4-5 QBs on our roster you’re not going to stockpile top QBs. Maybe you can keep 2 top QBs with some age separation. IMO we need to keep a couple of developmental athletic QBs on the roster or we’ll perennially be shopping for a one and done mercenary starter. I don’t like our odds if we get caught up in that cycle. Find me the next Gerry Gdowski to develop.
That all sounds good in theory. I just don't see it working in today's college game. Similar to Kaelin I don't think guys want to wait. My guess is TJ or the portal QB won't be in the roster after this year.
It's how the game will be played moving forward I THINK. Guys won't stick around to develop IF they have other options.
