In Detroit on business. Just had Buddy’s pizza. Detroit style. Looks heavy, feels light. Might have been the best pizza I’ve had. Crust was amazing and great ingredients, quality sauce.

Just saying…. This style is really good. And I live by Chicago. Not a fan of the tavern style/bar style. Cracker crust. But I love the deep dish, lou malnattis being my favorite of those.

In Elkhart we actually have great pizza being between Chicago and detroit. But buddy’s was better than anything local.

Detroit style is probably my favorite when done right. Neapolitan 2nd, NYC 3rd.

Anything that the homemade pizza guru's on here show look more than good 👍 😋.

Unfortunately where I live the only "local" choices are Vals, godfathers, pizza hut or Casey's

I'm currently liking NY style. Just plain cheese, light on the tomato sauce. Next month I might prefer Chicago style.

You can tell me about Chicago style or New York style or Omaha Style (Mama's Pizza) or Detroit Style etc... I like Mangia Italiana off Irvington... they simply make the best pizza. My favorite pizza place concoction is ORSI'S Goudarooni.

Hamburger pizza Danish bakery in Dannebrog.

Philly from dominos has no business being as good as it does.

I had a margarita pizza when I was in Italy about 7 years ago. Phenomenal.

I guess I'm more into the quality of the ingredients than the style. I do like Detroit-style pizza if it has a hearty sauce and good-quality cheese. But now that it's become more popular, there will surely be a lot of crappy Detroit-style pizza out there.

I like my pizza like I like my women.

…..in the kitchen.
(A variation of a Daniel Tosh joke. Only he used coffee instead of pizza)

My favorite all time was Wise Guys, Lincoln around the early 90's. Chicago Deep Dish with base of Cream Cheese and 3 toppings were Pepperoni, Meat Balls, & Pineapple. There was always plenty of sauce on the top crust and you were full off of 1 maybe 2 slices. Days of food!

After a night of striking out with the 3s and 4s, Totino's Pizza rolls always hit the spot. Red Barron if I win a $3 scratch-off.

i've had pizza from many many parts of the country and europe. and yes, from many small italian restaurants and other eclectic establishments i've experienced amazing offerings. However, one of the most enjoyable pizzas that i have devoured albeit as a young man was godfathers pizza in the 70's

That is what my family calls Mama's Pizza. Loaded toppings and heavy cheese dominate the bland sauce. I love mama's, because it is 100% one of a kind. You get a good amount of food, and my family has been going there for 35 years

There's kids that would kill to have that level of parenting.

For sure. And it was great memories. I was not really joking when I said thanks mom and dad. Probably could have done without the second hand smoke though.

Not sure what style it is, but Moose's Tooth in Anchorage, Alaska is criminally underrated.

Big Fred's Hamburger pizza is Omaha
Lol... No

I can think of 3 that I have more memories of that are staples of Omaha

Mama's Pizza
LaCasa
Johnnie Sortinos

None of them are my favorite, but when I think of growing up those 3 stand above the rest

1) Chicago deep dish
2a) Detroit style
2b) 1000 degree oven flaky crust :) :) :)

Wiseguys in Lincoln. Chicago style and man it's sucks so bad they are not around anymore.

I used to really like Tony's mexican pizza in the 90's too, but they suck now. The crust was so freaking awesome for a frozen pizza.

Giordano's is always been my favorite, but admittedly I've only been to Chicago long enough to eat pizza twice :)

It's not quite the same but a good Omaha substitute is davlo

Giordanos is good. Better than the two oldies, Gino’s and unos. But Lou Malnattis wins with the crust. Then if you meet someone from Chicago they’ll tell you you’re a dipshit and start naming places you would never find on your own and how you’re going to tourist traps for pizza
