5 for 5!! All N!!

Him and Danny have been huge in putting this class together.
We are extremely fortunate to have 3 “Nebraska” QBs on the roster. While Haarberg has limitations, he’s not going anywhere and can be a positive in that room. I’m not sure how Raiola’s first year will go but I think we’re set at QB for several years. Kaelin will probably redshirt.

Then pass the torch to Dayton a few years down the road.

Who has more upside at receiver Banks or Noyor?
Neyor probably has the more “upside” but also has a ton more risk. A lot of people never come back from ACL or at least never come back to the top of their game.

Banks is the type of guy who Rhule writes in the two deep on his chalk board. Nayor probably the kind of kid that will play with the B squad in the spring game (unless we are that thin @ WR). Is Neyor like Chris Godwin or is he like Michael Thomas? It’s not the end all injury it once was but it’s still one that guys either never over come or never return to their top level from

Why would Neyor have more upside than a veteran all conference receiver?

Great quality incoming guys from the transfer portal. Got our needs at RB, WR, & LB. The only position that I would have liked to see a major improvement is our LT position but there just isnt quality LT's in the portal for some strange reason.

5star LT from Wisconsin just put his name in.

Who did we get at LB?

Either he was a better judge of talent than the recruiting gurus OR he developed players better than anyone else. Maybe both.
TO and his veteran staff knew exactly what they were looking for when it came to talent evaluation. They didn't miss on a ton of kids either. He would routinely take some lower recruited kids, but those coaches had built contacts in their recruiting territories. They knew who to go after and who to avoid.

You're kind of a stick in the mud, aren't ya?

No way this is happening. He will be QB coach and Satt will be OC & TE coach or they will bring in another guy to be QB coach and he will be an analyst.
The problem I see is that he's over qualified to be a qb coach. Guys like that want to be HC even if at North Texas. So he's likely a rental. Which makes me think he's coming as an analyst.

I agree...the dude is loaded and doesn't NEED to work but (assuming he is married with kids) he doesn't want to be stuck at home all day.

Plus this keeps him in the game and he waits for a gig that he likes to open up.

I think your misunderstanding my point.

Upside being an upward movement (from point a to point B)…the seasoned all conference Vet is coming in at a high level. So his window to raise his game/ upward movement of his current game is much smaller than a guys who really hasn’t played football in 2 years due to injuries.

Don’t take it as a negative. If Banks plays the same sort of ball he has @ Wake Forest, find by me. I’d take that sort of production. In other words, I’m happy if Banks maintains his current game wouldn’t be happy if Neyor did

We need a qb or none of it works. Raiola has the talent, I worry about the game experience and him being able to read a defense and not get baited. We’ll see
It's all nice on paper , so let's enjoy it while reality isn't awake.
