I spent the last 6 weeks in Cabo the Dismante resort. It has two golf courses, one of which was “designed” by Tiger. He is actually building another course on the property. Anyway, on Super Bowl Sunday. I went over to el Cardinal, the course that he designed.

Ordinarily, it’s open on Sunday, but they were having a big Super Bowl party, so it was closed. I went back out from and ran into I guy whom I have known forever and he works there. He was in the phone and he said “I need 3 carts for my guys”. I said, “ I thought the course was closed. “Not for these guys”

I had lunch with guy on Friday and he said it was Tiger and four of his friends. Everyone played from the tips, but one the guys was a terrible golfer.


So they give him 12 balls and the bet is for every ball he has left at end of 28, they will each give him a hundred bucks. But for every ball he goes over the 12, he has to give each of them a hundred. My guy said he was down to four balls after six.

My guy says they come down here once a year an it includes the CEO of his company, his roommate from Stanford and two other guys, one of which is my kind of golfer. He says they have a great time.

I might add that I never saw Tiger, but he must have been close.

… take the week off, drive on down to San Antonio tomorrow for a couple of days, then on to Mobile to watch them play against South Alabama. Well, can’t say I’d have made that decision again given what I have seen the past three days 🤷‍♂️ but hey, I can dream for a turnaround. I don’t think the games are televised for that series, so I will give you some of my random observations during the games for what it’s worth. Will try and stay positive.

OK, let's say this again.

China needs balloons to spy on the U.S.

Russia needs weapons from Iran and China to fight (probably still unsuccessfully) Ukraine.

And these are world powers ready to supplant the USA? Really? Does anyone else see the logical disconnect here?

One other thing, Russia and the USA haven't tested a nuclear weapon in 30 years. When trying to assess why the leaders in Washington are so bold against Russia, is it fair to at least consider that with the NSA and CIA, that they may know something about the functionality of the Russian nuclear arsenal that we don't?

The Huskers have landed their first commitment in the 2024 class: Roger Gradney announced his pledge to Nebraska on Monday night to give the program another Texas speedster.

“It’s so many different attributes in what we look for when we see a quarterback. You would love a coach’s son. Somewhere, that the coach has coached him. … That’s what, really, we look for in quarterbacks.

He also discussed the different things he looks for in linemen, both on offense and on defense.

“Different positions are different,” Sanders said. “Like, o-linemen, I look for dual-parent homes, a strong father that they adhere to. A smart kid, at least 3.3 [GPA] and above. … Tough, physical, offensive linemen.

“Defensive linemen is totally opposite. Single mama, trying to get it, he’s on free lunch. I’m talking about just trying to make it. He’s trying to rescue mama. Like mama barely made the flight. And I want him to just go get it. It’s a whole different attribute that you look for in different positions. And we have that stuff just chronicled. We know what we want, and we go get it.”

The Nebraska baseball team will play on TV nine times during the regular season in 2023. The schedule is highlighted by four games on the Big Ten Network, four on Nebraska Public Media and one appearance on ESPN2. Every home game that isn't on TV will be steamed live on BTN+

Fun to watch because she and coach bluder aren't getting their usual favors from refs.

I am so done with the media, or other people saying that Nebraska really needs to go into the portal for more lineman. Don’t these people realize getting good offensive lineman in the portal is almost impossible? Getting Scott was a huge get. And I am excited about him. He had a ton of offers, and he was only honorable mention in a conference not known for good lineman. That dude from Rhode Island had offers from everyone. 90% of guys in the portal are Hunter Anthony. And I am wrong as often as I am right. But I was spot on about him. Said so on here. He couldn’t beat out Bryce B. Lineman, out of all positions simply have to be developed. This idea that Nebraska needs to “get a couple more lineman out of the portal” is like my Sales Manager telling me I need to close a couple more Million dollar deals before the end of the quarter. Sure, it would be great, if it wasn’t impossible.
