He's never had a breakout first year to begin with.... But another terrible draft for Nebraska. The roster was a joke, we have zero respect as a program. I know Rhule has done everything "right" thus far.. But my god does he have a huge hill to climb. Going to a bowl is my initial expectation.

It’s been a great week but I am saddened that one of my new favorite countries is obviously suffering some economic hardship. I saw several hundred females on the beach this week that couldn’t afford a swimsuit consisting of little more than two or three strings. And even sadder, there were dozens that couldn’t even afford the few strings. Anywhere.

But Spanish women and their European neighbors are a proud bunch. When I offered the ones with no strings some Euros, their reaction was one of disgust. So please keep these ladies in your thoughts. I certainly will.

I'm encouraged having this kind of depth at QB. Haarberg and Torres showed potential. Purdy and Smothers may have greater opportunities elsewhere...

Went to the game today and man when the bats are moving the order like that, we are HARD to beat ... Max and Brice are legit MLB players ... but man, the lows of this team are REAL low ... frustrating but fun season, wonder if we can ride this momentum and turn things around on the home stretch and into the BIG tourney

Garrett Nelson has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Nelson's first shot at the NFL will be down in South Beach.

I don't understand why someone with Palmer's speed, size and production has not been drafted yet, I hope my Giants get him in round six.

Trey Palmer spoke to a small group of media about two hours after getting drafted today. He reacts to getting the call from the Bucs, the chance to work with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and how moving to Nebraska helped him focus:

I guess everyone on the board is disgruntled today.

The Huskers added a new scholarship offer for the 2024 class on Thursday when defensive lineman Adam Kissayi was offered by Omar Hales.

The defender told me that he was very excited by the offer because his mom grew up in Nebraska and his grandparents are huge fans. He wasted no time locking in an official visit for June 24th weekend.

"I'm looking forward to meeting all the staff and some of the players," Kissayi said. "I wanna see their facilities as well and see what the campus is like."

The Bayside High School standout had 13 TFLs and 8.5 sacks as a junior. Kissayi said that he's looking for a school with good, genuine people who show they actually care about their players. He hopes to make a decision at the end of summer after his official visits. There are also trips set to Rutgers on June 2 and Minnesota June 16.

Travis Vokolek is reportedly signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent.

Ochaun Mathis is a sixth-round pick to the Rams with the No. 189 overall selection.

Trey Palmer followed him just two picks later at No. 191 overall.

I'm settling in here at the Bison Activity Dome as Nebraska Volleyball begins a new era as they take on Wichita State for its annual spring match. Today we get to see all six new faces on the Nebraska roster get some game action including the No. 1 ranked 2023 recruiting class that includes five new freshman and Florida transfer Merritt Beason who will start at opposite. A lot will be made of the setter position today, but expect returning junior Kennedi Orr to start the first set before turning it over to freshman Bergen Reilly for the second set.

The Shockers will be a quality opponent as they went 18-13 last season and 13-6 in American Athletic Conference play. They return middle blocker Natalie Foster who was an AVCA All-Region selection as she was 30th nationally last year with a .382 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Brylee Kelly will lead the offense as she was a first-team all-conference selection last year with 3.27 kills per set.

Nebraska is 13-0 all-time vs. Wichita State, but lost to the Shockers 3-1 in the 2013 spring match. The Huskers haven't lost a spring match since that day.
