Rank your NFL TOP 5 after Week 1

1) 49ers - didn't even have to suit up McCaffrey to put a casual whooping on the Jets ... this Niners team is absolutely LOADED & it is truly now or never for Kyle Shanahan with Trent Williams at his literal final peak years

2) Chiefs - Andy Reid is that dude, Mahomes is that QB

3) Eagles - Saquon and Hurts together are going to create amazing throwing lanes for that offense

...

I'm stumped after the above 3 ... Packers but now Love is hurt ...

Chargers probably 4th

SpaceX spacewalk for fellow space nerds

So, this happened today as SpaceX tested their spacesuits. Fellow space nerds here is their coverage on X this morning. They get the go for the walk at the 1 hour 22 min mark so you can start around there if you want to. As you know if you follow these things there is just a lot of talking going on in these broadcasted missions.

Go to open hatch all the way at the 1 hour 53 minute mark watching the astronauts inside the capsule as he does it.

Daily Nebraska Trivia/Fact: September 11

“Pro Football Hall of Fame QB and Super Bowl champion Kurt Warner played college football at Northern Iowa, the Huskers’ opponent on Saturday. True or false: Warner and the Panthers lost to Nebraska when the two teams met in the early 1990s.”

=================================

Answer:

False.

Saturday’s game will be the first-ever all-time meeting between the two programs. It will also be Nebraska’s first-ever opponent from the Missouri Valley Conference.

Anyone still drinking the Rhuleaid?

Because if not, I'll take every last drop you got. And I'll lick the carafe it was served in.

Seriously, you can all fvck straight off with all this negativity. It was one game. Our first fvcking game. If we'd have won the exact same game by 1 point, you'd all be here sucking Rhule's dick for such a tough win, such a hard win, so much fight, blah, blah blah.

It didn't work out. Lots more games to play. I saw improvement over the last 2 regimes. And if you didn't, you suck at watching football.

Do we have some very serious roster weaknesses? FVCK YEAH!!! Did we have some serious coaching question marks? Oh, hell yeah!! Including Matt Rhule? You're damn right! There's room for improvement, for sure. But, give Rhule some time. It's headed in the right direction.

How long has the stripper's husband been coaching that gopher team? How long have those guys been playing together? How long have they all been in that PROGRAM? We don't have that...YET.

Expect some extreme roster turnover, expect some coaching turnover, expect some tough losses, but you damn well better expect this thing to get turned around, because it will. And Matt mother fvcking Rhule will be the guy to do it.

Rhule's got this shit! Maybe the wins don't all come this year, but it's a marathon, not a sprint. We'll see improvement and changes across the board (coaches and players) and get back to who we are. Get on board or get the fvck out of the way...and I'll take your leftover Rhuleaide.

Outside of hiring Deion Sanders, Matt Rhule is the best hire we could have possibly made. (I just threw this last part in to see guys like @headcard 's head explode 😂 )

Danny Woodhead

Woodhead told me yesterday that he was on the sideline of the Husker game on Saturday and that the game was the 2nd best football atmosphere he’s ever been at with #1 being the Super Bowl he played in.

A lot of people have said something similar but coming from a guy that played in a lot of big games in the NFL I was very surprised and excited to hear that. Being a Nebraska kid growing up here obviously he seemed filled with joy that Nebraska was playing well. Just a great overall dude for those that know him or have gotten a chance to meet him.

Football Northern Iowa at Nebraska Preview & Prediction (CollegeFootballNews.com)

Northern Iowa at Nebraska Game Preview, Prediction
by Pete Fiutak, CollegeFootballNews.com

It's great to be a Nebraska Cornhusker.

The team easily blew past Colorado last week, and now there's a shot at the program's first 3-0 start to the season.

Northern Iowa won't be a layup, though. It's 2-0 with strong wins over Valparaiso and St. Thomas, and ......it's great to be a UNI Panther. And why?

After this the team goes to Honolulu to play Hawaii.

Northern Iowa (2-0) at Nebraska (2-0)
Saturday, September 14 - 7:30 PM (ET) - BTN

Why Northern Iowa Will Win
The lines have been wonderful so far.

The offensive front isn't allowing sacks for an attack averaging 300 yards per game on the ground, the pass rush has been strong, and the defense is getting to the quarterback enough to matter.

There haven't been any takeaways, but there's been just one turnover so far. Play clean, hold up on the lines, at least provide a little pressure to Dylan Raiola, and ......

Why Nebraska Will Win
He's still just a freshman.

The hype and expectations and pressure on Raiola couldn't have been bigger -- hey kid, just save an entire university and football program.

He's hitting 74% of his throws, he has yet to throw a pick, he's poised, mature and he's doing everything the team needed.

Combine the strong quarterback play with a defense that's crushing so far up front -- that's what happens when you play Colorado -- and there's a good mix to keep all the success going.

Who Will Win
Northern Iowa won't be a total pushover, but the Nebraska offense will be balanced and solid, it'll get up quickly, and will roll from there.

Don't expect a blasting -- the score will be worse than the game. The Panthers won't let this get totally out of hand, but they won't capitalize on their opportunities, either.

Prediction
Nebraska 41, Northern Iowa 10

Spread
Nebraska is favored at home by 27.5 points. The O/U is set at 47.5 points.
