Who deserved to be in the playoffs?

It's easy to say now looking at it from hindsight but here is who I think are most deserving:

Georgia - no brainer there

Winner of Ohio St. vs Michigan rematch - B1G needs to eliminate divisions and put it's two best teams in the championship game. Winner goes to the playoffs and loser represents the B1G in the Rose Bowl.

Tulane - sorry TCU, Tulane beat the Big 12 conference champion, therefore they are more deserving than TCU.

Tennessee - even though they didn't win their conference, they have wins over LSU and Alabama. They throttled ACC champion Clemson. Perhaps they should have a play in game against Utah, but I think they throttle Utah considering Utah lost to flipping Florida and couldn't even beat the 3rd best B1G team, Penn State.

Women’s BB

Watching the team play the last few games and the season, I’m surprised how the team lacks poise when they are pressured. Sam Haiby is a 5th year player and turns the ball over like a freshman. It’s hard to understand how poorly they can play after playing so well within the same game. Every team is going to pressure them going forward.

Amy Williams better figure out how to get a team on the floor that can handle the pressure and not melt when it gets hot. I haven’t been impressed with her coaching this year after having most of the pieces back this year.

Old Husker game program posters

Hoping one of you 4.4 40, Harvard educated gentlemen can help me with a question. Does anyone know how to get your hands on the old hand-drawn game day programs? Either the digitals copies or poster-sized prints?

We just finished our basement and I've love to put a few of those bad boys up to Husker the place up without just painting everything red. I've seen them around (The Scarlet hotel has a bunch) and I think they say University of Nebraska Press on them, but I haven't been able to track them down in the wild.

Can anyone help?

I am the last of the Mohicans...

My only brother died a few hours ago. We were born of an only child Father and bore only wonderful daughters.
My brother served 25 years in USAF (1970-95), my older sister (1969-77) and I (1972-76). Our Mother at one time had her 4 children on 4 different Countries and 3 Continents... Thailand, Phillipine Islands, Germany and USA.
Brother served his last 15 years of service as a programmer of surveilence equipment on aircraft. His specialty was the AWACS on C-130's he was deployed TDY to Saudi Arabia twice and all over Europe (except Berlin, my home from 1974-76). He was not a hero (E-7 final rank) but he did what his Country asked him to do, of his 25 years only 8 of them were served in America. After USAF he became a Penticostal Minister and was devoted to death. From 1970-2010 I was next to him only 6 or 7 times but I stood as his best man at Grissom AFB in 1985. The last 10 years we were closer in contact but were never physically closer than North Carolina and Nebraska and never stood beside each other much more than 1970-2010. We were different people, I lived construction but he could not drive a nail but I loved him. As Rush Limbaugh said to his brother David, "I will miss you, big time."

OT: BB Student Section - Creative Fun or Unsportsmanlike

Over the weekend, at a college BB game, several Colorado State students chanted "Russia" to a Utah State opponent, who is from Ukraine. The Colorado State head coach and athletic department apologized to Utah State. Apparently, the Mountain West conference is investigating the situation.

Was this good, clean fun and a creative way of trying to get under a player's skin, or did it cross the line? What do you think of the university's actions?

First Pitch In Two Weeks - Schedule Thoughts

1. The home schedule? Yuck. Weekend series vs. Illinois State, Nicholls, Illinois, Northwestern, Minnesota, Penn State.
2. The two four-game series are over four days. No Saturday doubleheaders. I suppose that's better for pitching but I sure love attending doubleheaders.
3. Upon further inspection, there is a doubleheader on April 1. In Abilene, TX. With no other games that weekend. What?
