Recruiting Future Husker Tyson Terry leads dominant defense in win over Bellevue West

Tyson Terry was better than advertised on Friday night. Here are my thought on the commits and prospects in the game. Hit the link…

Football Updated Football Roster!

Nebraska has updated its official online roster with new heights, weights and jersey numbers for the freshmen.

No single digits yet. One of the three players at Media Days yesterday said those wouldn’t be decided until after the first couple weeks of practice. (I believe it was Jeff Sims but can’t remember who specifically said it.)

Nebraska to PAC 12

If we join the PAC 12 we would lose a lot of money but might go back to winning conference championships like we did in the old Big 8. least we would be winning if we take the same path for success we had in a smaller conference.

The PAC 12 would be

Nebraska
Oregon state
Wash State
Cal
Arizona State
Stanford
Hawaii
1 other team

We are never going to beat Ohio state, but we can compete with these teams. Competition wise it is still stronger than the old big 8.

Football Now is the time for DeShon Singleton in Nebraska's defensive backfield

I'll always remember Travis Fisher's quote.

"He’s big, and I can’t coach that. He can run, and I can’t coach that either."

Fisher was talking about DeShon Singleton, the physical 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety who's flying around and catching Matt Rhule's attention.

Alex Bullock question - quick one re: speed

People have mixed opinions. I am happy for him and look forward to seeing him. One question I do not see in any of these stories is
" What is his speed" ? it seems to be a topic for everyone but not him. Is he a good route runner/blocker ball control guy or can he beat some people. whats is 40 time, good speed, ok speed or ball control guy. Thanks for answering for anyone that knows.

Volleyball Game Thread FINAL: No. 5 Nebraska 3, Lipscomb 0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-16)

I'm back at the Devaney Center for day two of three of the Ameritas Players Challenge in Lincoln. Last night we saw SMU sweep Lipscomb. Right now, SMU and Utah State are tied at one set apiece.

Additionally, last night we saw the Huskers go about their business in a season-opening sweep over Utah State 25-20, 25-17, 25-17. Bergen Reilly became the second ever freshman to start at setter in program history as she ran a balanced offense en route to a sweep. Merritt Beason and Harper Murray tied a match-high nine kills in their Nebraska debuts while Reilly recorded 26 assists to go along with four kills and seven digs. Here's the recap from last night:

Plus, here is the preview coming into the weekend:

Players' Corner from earlier this week:

WWL with Cook:

How Cook is embracing a new perspective coming into the season:

With this match going at least four sets, we may not get started right away at 5 p.m. We'll have to see. Expect new starters tonight as Cook mentioned yesterday in his post-match presser. I would expect to see Andi Jackson at MB, possibly Kennedi Orr at setter as well as Ally Batenhorst and/or Hayden Kubik at OH.

Volleyball Second set comeback leads to sweep of Lipscomb

A 9-0 run erased a six-run comeback to set up a Nebraska sweep over Lipscomb to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Huskers finish out the Ameritas Players Challenge tomorrow at 2 p.m. against SMU.
