2024 CFB Hot Takes

Post your hot takes here.

Mine is that Texas will regress severely. Looking at their schedule, I only see 5 guaranteed wins: Colorado State, UTSA, ULM, Miss St, Vanderbilt.

Georgia is likely a loss. Oklahoma, Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, and Texas A&M could go either way. If I had to bet, they'll go 4-2 against that stretch.

Looking at last year, they played a total of 3 teams capable of a winning record in the SEC (Alabama, Oklahoma, Washington) and went 1-2 against them. Alabama was a good win, but it was early in the year and against an Alabama team that nearly lost to South Florida before getting their shit together later in the year. I do not see them getting it done week in, week out against teams with top 25 recruiting classes. remember this is the same team that beat a 4-8 Houston and 5-7 TCU by 1 score.

Also, I am a hater and I like to see good things fail.

Football Glenn Thomas: Everything he said about Raiola/QBs + thoughts on OL, RBs and "basketball team" in WR room

Glenn Thomas was the man of the hour tonight on Huskers Radio Network. Here's everything the Huskers' co-OC/QBs coach said about Dylan Raiola, Heinrich Haarberg, Daniel Kaelin and the two walk-ons in the QB room – Jalyn Gramstad and Bode Soukup.

Bud Lite: From Transgender Dylan Mulvaney to NCAA Football....what a marketing "transition".

Huskers and Badgers did not make the cut. Damn. Iowa did make the cut though. Makes sense.

Lincoln among top Airbnb destinations for cfb

I guess this mildly surprised me as we haven't been relevant in cfb rankings for quite awhile. Must be other factors, like Lincoln is a safe family destination? Memorial Stadium is still thought to be one of the great cathedrals of cfb? The friendly nature of Husker Nation?

"According to Airbnb, it has seen a 25% increase in searches for rooms in Lincoln ahead of Saturday’s game, which is also Labor Day weekend.

Lincoln is one of the most popular college football destinations for renters, including cities such as Tallahassee, Eugene, and Knoxville.

The city has hundreds of Airbnb rentals, but almost all are booked for this weekend."
