RedZone woes

Redzone issues were the name of the game under Frost. Adrian, while electric, shit the bed in the redzone.

It will be interesting to see how Nebraska converts in the red zone with Dylan. Nebraska was 100% at converting TDs with Dylan in the redzone, minus DD fumble. There is just so much that the defending team must account for.

It wasn't perfect

bit it wasn't to far off.

Offense threw it deep, short, inside, outside, screens, to WRs, TEs, and RBs. Starting QB threw it for 19/27 for 238 and 2 TDs. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

Offense used 4 backs before the mass subs, they went 33 carries for 200 yards, 3 TDs, over 6 yards per carry, with 1 fumble, Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

Defense held them to 56 yards rushing, with a long of 9 on 24 carries. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

Defense held them to 149 passing yards on 16/26 and a TD, with 2 INT. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

Buschini averaged 48.5 on his punts, but we did give up a 29 yard return. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

Alavano hit his 20 yard FG. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

We had 25 yards on punt returns and got close to blocking one or two, 75 yards on kickoff returns, and gave up 48 yards on 4 KO returns. Perfect? No, but a great place to start the season.

We got the ball with 2:05 left in the half and scored a TD leaving no time on the clock. We pulled the starters with 3:48 left in the 3rd Quarter. Perfect? No, but what a great start to the season.

Yeah, there are somethings that need tweaked and corrected, some mistakes to fix, a few plays to avoid or add, but what a great start to the season. Just don't think it's a viable opinion to not think things are headed in the right direction.

Believe we win tomorrow, but I don’t think we cover…

Spread seems high to me for a first game of the season, with a true freshman quarterback….Vegas is usually pretty good, so I shouldn’t second guess their line, I think we win but only buy a couple scores.
UTEP’s super quick, no-huddle will give us a few headaches IMO.
Really, hope I’m wrong. Been a long time since we’ve smoked any team bye 25 or 30…Would be fun.
