Mr Rogers

In 2 years here we’ve been forced to fire at least one coach weeks prior to the season starting 100% of the time due to off-field transgressions.

In 50% of Rhule’s seasons here he neglected to hire a coach for the most important position in all of sports (QB).

Game management has led directly to losses. He was forced to make a change due to abhorrent and inexcusable on-field performance and the second new eyes get here it’s “why don’t you block? It’s embarrassing.”

10-12.

Nothing about Matt Rhule’s NU suggests “effective management”. Literally nothing.

None of the above has anything to do with frost or the fans.
You need to get laid.

no. that would be pointless.

he will be allowed to complete 4 years here at minimum.

I post my observations here. there are countless contradictions in what Rhule has said and what Rhule has done during his time here.

to me, Rhule's obvious lack of either vision or conviction are a gigantic red flag for someone in his position.

we have no identity because he has no identity.

I'm glad Holgorsen is here and hope he stays. I look forward to more difficult conversations this off-season with both staffers and players.

going into Year Three, I finally expect significant roster turnover - something Rhule's contemporaries accomplish in months.

none of the stuff I discuss here is "Old Man Yelling At Cloud". I said repeatedly during the off-season that Rhule's wishy washy late game stuff has to stop. that his atrocious game management needs to improve. that it's costing us games. that he HAS to get better.

fast forward to 10 games into Year 2 here and Year 10 of him being a head man and we're seeing the exact same basic stuff get flubbed when the lights are on and we need a steady hand. we have nothing to turn to or count on when the going gets tough.

fans need to show patience for an experienced coach to learn when to call timeout? I disagree with you there.

nobody expects us to go undefeated. everybody expects us to stop inflicting ourselves with mortal wounds week after week. I don't think this is at all unfair.
So why not say this in the first place. Very few would disagree with your sentiment here. But at the same time the constant bashing of Rhule and his program leads one to believe that you want to reboot it all again.

We get it... Things aren't where they should be.

I just don't think calling out the HC at every turn, and creating drama where there isn't (Rhule sleeping on the job), does anything to help the situation. It comes off as you and others taking pleasure in the failure of yet another head coach.

Ladies VB

Saturday night at The Bob... Senior Night and Wisconsin is the opponent. Can't ask for a bigger match than that! I can't believe Saturday will be Lexi's last regular season appearance at home. She's been nothing short of dazzling since she first played as a freshman.
We're gonna sweep em again, or win in 4. There isn't a team in the B1G that is anywhere near our level period and what we've done this year has been against the hardest schedule in the country and the way they're playing reminds me of the 95 football squad as they are proving the same menatlty with the same results. The bigger the team, the bigger the blowout! We swept at the time numbers 2, 4, and 7 which were number 2 Stanford, number 4 Louisville at Louisville and number 7 Wisconsin in Madison then won 3-1 at #9 Kentucky the 1st match of the season, beat number 9 Creighton in 5 sets as well as number 12 Oregon in Eugene. number 10 Purdue. I don't need to keep goin any further. We have beaten not only more top 10 teams but also more ranked teams this year than any other teams in DONU history in VB.

Recruiting Rising 2026 WR/ATH added to the weekend visitor list

2026 Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park three-star wide reciever/athlete Nasir Rankin will visit Michigan State today then head down to Lincoln to see the Huskers in action tomorrow. Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan State are three standouts for the two-sport standout who had an electric junior season

I just don't get this. So you aren't calling for him to be fired? Then why do all this? I assumed it was to further the agenda of moving on from a coach you don't want. But you are calling the coach a pussy, and a liar, ripping every single decision and comment to shreds, and you don't even want him fired? To me, that is the stuff you do when you think it is beyond repair, and it is absolutely time to move on. Why create such a toxic environment otherwise?
Rhule is a liar. His actions constantly contradict his words. This is not a contrived narrative, it's an accurate observation.

Rhule's decisions, especially with regards to staffing and in-game management, deserve to be ripped. They're bad. Like, really bad. And frankly indefensible.

Wanting him gone and understanding he's not going anywhere is nuanced thinking - something this board is mostly unfamiliar with - which is what I'm employing.

The people who want him gone won't get their wish anytime soon. The people, like me, who want him to do basically everything better just might. Doubtful, but not impossible. Understanding how to use timeouts and when to challenge plays are fairly basic things, after all.

As usual, the things I'm saying are clear, obvious and not all that controversial. A large majority agree with what I say. How can you not? It's verifiable fact for the most part.

Their (like your) issue is with how & how often I say it. "Toxic" is in the eye of the beholder.

Dannen Needs A Sixth Win!

I notice you said, “I live in Omaha” not, “I’m a Husker fan.”

I can read between the lines enough to know you aren’t a Husker fan. I’m not saying you need to toe the line and be supportive of all things Huskers, but when your only post in the volleyball thread is linking Nebraska’s championship game loss to Texas last year, and have yet to post anything positive about the Huskers in general, it’s pretty obvious you aren’t a Husker fan.
Aside from the volleyball team, what is there to be excited about?

Just imagine if he wanted him fired...

Cutting the roster to 105

Jesus, we are this far into the right to NIL compensation (as mandated 9-0 by the US Supreme Court) and some fans are still confused?

Professional players are drafted and sign an employment contract which sets forth all manner of rights, rules, and restrictions applicable to the employer (c/o the labor union) and the employee (c/o the employer). Start there.
These have nothing to do with what a professional is. These are terms of agreement between employer and employee. Since the courts are involved, these rights or terms of agreement will be hashed out soon by the universities (Employers) and players (Employees). How you select or get drafted where you play is moot. If the universities get on the hook for the players being employees, this will raise the costs by about 40%-50% due to insurance, FICA, unemployment, workers' compensation, withholding, and union contracts. This will force many schools to drop football.
