And run vertically. PA actually works when we are occasionally busting through seams. No one cares about PA when we run laterally. And leave Haarberg on the bench if you're not going to create a good play for him. Those change-ups just seem to kill momentum. Please run the ball. When they run everything works better. Please run the ball all week and get a couple of plays that complement the run.
Talent and stats are two entirely different things.Look at his stats and production. He may pass the eye test but his stats stats are going the opposite direction. This is the time in the season that you improve or go the opposite direction...
Ohio State's play calling was so bad that I actually think NU had the advantage in that area yesterday. But the officiating hurt us. And our team just didn't make enough plays to win. Having said that, if our defense keeps that same mojo going we're gonna cover the spread against UCLA. What was Ohio State on third down? At one point it was 1 for 10?Needless to say this is a must WIN game for Nebraska and Matt Rhule and his staff.
Tough part about losing the bucknuts game was the squandered opportunities we had not to mention the pathetic play calling again by Safferfield..And I’ll leave the terrible officiating on a scoring drive that we were hosed on for another thread.😡
GBR!

Now we've got a self appointed talent analyst on here throwing out a "below average" talent rating. Great.
I like what Ruhle said after the game. We played pretty well in a lot of areas with intensity, but it doesn't mean anything if we cannot come out and play that same way next week.November has been a bit of an issue with this progrum the last couple years or maybe 20. Ha
Anything change this year or are we looking at 6 straight Ls?
I think if the Defense shows up and FG game keeps improving that could change. On the other hand this O wow.
It sickens you not because of the league, but because you are losing to teams 55-7. If you were piss pounding teams in the BIG 10 like you used to do in the Big 12, you would love it. Maybe just admit that your program has made some totally ****ed up decisions over the past 20 years and move on and try to get better. Did you get some bad calls against OSU? Join the club. I can remember some doozies in Iowa games over the years against OSU and Michigan,Could not agree with this post more. The day it was announced, my fandom took a hit that's never quite fully recovered. I grew up laughing at them too. We've been sitting on the side at the kid's table since the day we joined. In the Big 12, there were some bullshit shenanigans, sure. But we definitely sat at the grownup table in the center of the room.
Opposing fans were MUCH more like-minded. Some great, long standing rivalries with some great programs still existed. Now we have a bunch of, I'll just say, not like-minded opposing fans and a forced rivalry with a team that's never won anything of substance. And we've been drug down to or below their level. On all of it.
I don't think the addition of the west coast teams is going to help any of it either. If anything, it will make it all worse.
And I don't even really buy the whole "but, but, but more money" argument either. Yes, there's more money. That's a fact that's not disputable. But at what cost? And what has it gotten us? Last time I checked, all the Big 12 programs programs we ran away from still have a football program. They didn't shut any of them down because they had to file bankruptcy. In fact, 3 different teams somehow managed to make it to the CFP since we left. Exact same number as the the SEC, ACC and yep, you guess it, the B1G.
Ugh, I could go on and on. And I probably have. It all just sickens me.
It would be the side of the lower leg. This comes into play more often when a receiver is trying to make a sliding catch on the sideline.A shin???? How about just say the knee was down, the shin, unless broke, doesnt hit before a knee...show me a shin down,

Great.DR is discovering big boy football. He transferred too many times in HS and never played against defenses that knew how to defend him. Now that there is video on him, he can't adjust, nor are the coaches. Last year after game 3 with HH his stats went down.
This is time that you sink or swim as a QB... How do you adjust to the adjustments? So far, not so good. He needs to listen to the coaches and get out of his comfort zone, his superior talent is now equal or below average.
1958 title baby!Good for you. You beat Nebraska. So does everyone else.
But what have you won?
Can you see anything different in his game now than from game 1? Everyting shows regression. Teams know his game and shutting it down.Geezus.
