“Baby Mahomes?”

This was my top concern coming into the year

Intangibles are super important

Leadership and toughness aren’t birthrights
Raiola would look like an All American right now if he had Andy Reid calling plays for him. Satterfield has fed Raiola to the wolves with his scheme and play calling. Now DR has multiple injuries and PTSD.

Nice try SuperFan. Your record speaks pretty clearly you'll support whatever the talking heads will dictate, just as a good super fan does.

Yes I am a fan of Nebraska and want them to be successful. Not shit.

I also did say this after the Indiana game:
To me, if he misses a Bowl, he has to be gone. I know the buyout number is huge, but losing six in a row to finish just has to be the end.

If he makes a Bowl Game, then he needs to make some clear changes to his program. He is stuck in an outdated paradigm and needs to get with modern college football.

I am ready for option B at QB

Yup, Rhule said he was gonna build a physical down hill running team, that would control TOP and wear down defenses in the 2nd half. Then he gets a 5* QB and decides to become a shittier version of Mark Whipple’s offense. Our identity was supposed to be physical running team that controlled the clock and plays tough defense. The whole “complimentary football” thing. You don’t change you’re whole offensive identity because you got a QB who can complete a forward pass.

Then again with Satterfield at the helm it probably doesn’t matter anyway. That schlub has never fielded a good offense his entire career. But Rhule thinks he can change a zebra into a race horse. Zebras don’t change their stripes dummy. Figure it out already.
Sadly at Temple they were what Rhule repeatedly says he wants to be. I just think Satt doesn’t believe we can run the ball so he comes out with 80% pass calls right from the start. Then when his QB keeps getting hit and we go 3 and out several times he finally is forced to run it. Satt was awful yesterday.

Rhule has stayed in the past that he’s pretty hands off with his coordinators. That HAS to change.

I am ready for option B at QB

The first few games Raiola had a beautiful throw and saw the field well. Was everything we hoped. I think part of it may be mental but I think it’s obvious he is dealing with some injuries. His pass is ugly and even when he completes passes it seems there’s a bit of luck involved. I have no doubt he’s our most talented QB but not with whatever injuries he playing through.

Haarberg looks much improved passing, healthy, and adds a run threat. Let the man play and let Raiola heal.
Those first games were against awful defenses. Fool’s gold.

Glenn Thomas

The system and play design at times are problems. Satterfield’s refusal to commit to the run probably wouldn’t change if Thomas was calling the plays. Winning programs commit to the run. I’m not saying run option or go full service academy but for heaven’s sake don’t try 3 low percentage pass plays in a row from the 5 yard line.

I don’t think Satterfield will change. I’m not sure Thomas would change anything and I’m doubtful that Rhule would fire either or both of them. I think we’re stuck. Rhule needs to take charge and insist Satt commit to the run.
It all starts with how you practice. These receivers block as if they don't even practice blocking. If you want to run the ball well, you have to practice the sh*t out of it. My guess is that they spend 90% of their time practicing plays out of shot gun-- you know, all of those plays that get blown up by the zero coverage blitzes?

We're very easy to defend right now. We're like Colorado was-- stop a run or two early in the game and the OC will just give up on it and make his own team one dimensional.
