Dude is in his 25th season as head coach, is 201-122 and has never won an outright B10 Championship and never even finished in the Top 10 of the polls at the end of any season.

There is suck, and then there is accepting 25 years of mediocre results at best and bragging about it suck.

Had to check that “never finished in the top 10 at the end of any season” claim. You are way off. I remember them having a really good run in Kirks early years and there was actually a stretch they finished 8th in the AP three years in a row. Plus another couple other years. They looked impressive especially on the ground and lines last night

How depressing is it that a guy from the KC area is coaching the #1 team and a Bama is coached by a guy from NE SD? Yet we can't win a 6th game.

It is tricky...my son is a D1 Bball assistant coach at a major university and the coaches and families are like a big family. They need each other for support and it helps the wives deal with the pressure and atmosphere. It is not like working at JP Morgan when you can furlough a guy and there is no issue. That is why it comes from "above" in many cases.

We all see how this is playing out
Many of us knew it when Rhule hired Satterfield.
A terrible OC , play calling is chaotic, predictable and I think he broke #15 .
The offensive numbers are in the lower end in categories.
Production is terrible.
Yet , many pundits, writers and radio personalities want us to not believe what we see.

Spent my hard earned money to fly up from Texas to watch the Rutgers game... I'll be back deer hunting in a few weeks and thought about finding tickets and going to the Wisky game if I tagged out early, now I think I'll just save my money and head back and get an early start to Thanksgiving if that happens... piss on this

So many things happened, IMO.

DC's got film on DR and Satterfield
Level of defense ramped up
Level of DC's ramped up
DR banged up
DR's confidence gets shaky after he starts throwing picks.

I think he's more Rodgers than Favre. Picks bother him and he is scared to take throws he was hitting early in the year when he wasn't experienced. 1 of 2 things have to happen. We run the ball and take the pressure off him or he has to get a Favre/Love mentality and forget about those picks. This in between won't work.
