Nope, if he is hurt he sits. If he is not physically hurt, he sits. HH does give this team the best shot to win. He runs better, can throw effectively. Opens play action pass way more. With HH I think this team could win 2 more. Maybe 3 if they play to the highest of their abilities each week. Sadly with this coaching staff I think we will see DR and play below abilities at least twice.I think there's still hope. This team has played well at times. This Raiola injury opens up some new possibilities. Haarberg actually played OK last year before he got banged up from all of the pounding he took. And he's reportedly a better passer this year. USC does not have a great rush defense. So they will put an extra in the box and blitz like everyone does. Nobody has confidence that Satt is smart enough to figure out how to combat that and then do a good job of play calling though. So we're still talking about hoping to get to 24 points and somehow win. It's possible though.
Since Raiola is hurt, if he is able to play I would play him on a more limited basis. He hasn't looked 100% in over a month now. Playing him part time with Haarberg would be an upgrade over what we've had.
I don't know why you think I'm an Iowa fan. I'm being realistic and looking at the situation for what it is.You just don’t get it.
Nobody here is saying that Nebraska is doing well. We’re saying that Iowa’s definition of success is laughable and nobody here is impressed by your Pinnacle Bowls and your one major bowl win in the last 65 years (you know—that one shining moment for Iowa football that took place against Georgia Tech 15 years ago).
You guys are entertaining and good for a laugh, but in all seriousness? I have never seen a more delusional, groundlessly arrogant fan base than Iowa. Your program has done nothing, you are completely irrelevant and always have been, and your one claim to fame is beating up on last place place Nebraska teams over the past decade. Congratulations, I guess? 😂
No other program acts the way you do. I used to respect Iowa before we joined the conference and your fans showed who they really are. Now I see exactly why Illini, Penn State, and Wisco fans can’t stand you and why Minny fans chant “who hates Iowa?” every chance they get.
#1: He was in places that didn't care about football at that time--> Install young players, develop them...lose a lot of games, nobody cares and by year 3 you have a veteran qb and an experienced team but are still garbage on offense and still lose 4 games a season including to top 25 teams.Recovering Rhule Aid Drinker here. I used to buy into the Rhule 3 year rule, but it’s obvious he no longer has that same hunger:
Temple Wins
Year 1 -2
Year 2 - 6
Year 3 - 10
Baylor Wins
Year 1 - 1
Year 2 - 7
Year 3 - 11
Rhule’s prior success stories included increasing 2nd year win totals by 200% (Temple) & 600% (Baylor). There was a clear improvement from year 1 to 2. He is already failing to accomplish this. Rhule must win 2 out of next 3 to keep this illusion of year 3 miracle alive.
That ain't what I heard, Clive.gifHate? Lol 🤣 You don’t matter enough to hate.
Well for starters we keep Nebraska in their place.🤪🔫
What have you Clarkeyes accomplished in football?
I hated Rhule for leveraging Lincoln and Trev for all of the guaranteed money...he acted like Lincoln was some shit hole that "surprised" him and we were so lucky to have him even consider us. That contract told me, he had lost confidence in his ability to coach in the modern era, the coaches he brought in showed me had he no desire to grow and his coaching connections had dried up, as had his reputation. Of course, if you can trick an idiot like Trev to give such an insane contract, then do it. College Football contracts aren't about market or value but how stupid the current AD, how desperate they are to make the "right hire", and not face angry fans, and how stupid and petulant the donors are.Showing no improvement in year 2 with an allegedly better roster. Always getting outcoached. Team looking unprepared and unmotivated.
He should be fired.
At some point the team needs to produce or NIL will not mean anything. At some point these funds will dry up quicklyWe are going to have to buy some NIL talent that will mean big dollars across the roster. If Rhule wants to keep his job he will look honestly at every position and ask himself: "Is this a guy that would start at a top p5 program and get drafted?", and if not, find a replacement. We need to cut out guys that aren't showing progress and all the head cases (Malachi Coleman?). We also need to find guys that just know success and demand it of themselves and their teammates and aren't afraid to get after each other.
Via donations from the fans and big walleted fans, NU football means enough to the state and the fanbase to make the type of money investment we need to be up there with Ohio St.
What a terrible investment. This poor school
Total Offense - 99
Scoring Offense - 100 (tie)
Red Zone Offense - 126
Rushing Offense - 104
Passing Offense - 67
4th down conversions - 132
Interceptions - 99 (tie)
I knew after the ku coach told trev no, it was rhule..which I'm ok with..
but I suggested gruden
Of course it does. We were up 28-0 but it could have easily been 14-7, we had a pick 6 and they dropped a pick 6 that became a TD. They beat us in the 2nd half once things settled down. This just shows that scoreboard and fan impressions of reality are generally wrong...luck, bounces, emotion can create momentary realities but in the end we were going to find out we had terrible coaches.Dumb thread. Adds nothing to discussion.
