The season is over in 24 days without a win. Kind of a strange quote.

The Psychology

has very little to do with the league

we tried to be pass-first in the Big 12 and got boat raced there, too

it will never work here. ever.
I don't think it works anywhere but the NFL. In rare cases it sort of worked in the Big 12 and in prior decades the SEC. The SEC went run-first in the 2000s and even the Fun n Gun of Spurrier relied on a decent run game. Oklahoma and Texas Tech had some success trying to be pass-first, but OU was vastly better with guys like Adrian Peterson being dominant rushing threats. In the Pac 10, USC was dominant only when it had Bush and Lendale White tearing defenses apart on the ground. Chip Kelly's Oregon offense was primarily a running attack.
You have to run if you want to be really good in college football.

Rhule here is definitely doing something to get the ball rolling on off-season changes. This is what the people wanted. This can only be viewed as positive news given the situation.
this is not what people wanted.

people wanted heads to roll.

Holgs was here in January, Rhule let him walk.

now that the horse is out of the barn and 3 counties over, he's back.

what a shit show.

USC benching QB Moss

Here's my fantasy: What would be the upside for Rhule announcing any changes right now? None, but I'm half convinced that Rhule is really fed up with this offense. I'm hoping that there will be an actual change to the play calling hierarchy which will result in a concerted effort to establish the run against these lightweights.

Also we're on the road so our mentally fragile team doesn't have to deal with the unbearable weight of playing in front of the too-demanding home crowd.

His AD and boosters of substance are fed up with his OC’s offense. Changes are coming. They have to be.

And the home crowd at USC is about as passive as a crowd can get. If they even bother driving to the stadium. Which I don't blame them for not doing. LA traffic sucks.
