OT: Las Vegas

Planning a trip for spring. Havent been there in 30 years. Wifes never been. Suggestions on where to stay?
I just got back last week. I stay at the Elara which is a Hilton time share, but it is attached to Planet Hollywood. I recommend Planet Hollywood as a cheaper alternative & it is middle of the strip easy walk anywhere. I also rent a car & get free parking there. I use the back road like Paradise to get up and down the strip. As mentioned Red Rock is great to visit. Also recommend the Omelette House for a giant 6 egg omelette filled with several things. An attraction I went to is the Arte Museum, quite an experience. Be sure to go to Fremont Street one night for that experience. Also went to the Sphere for Eagles concert, paid an arm & leg (700) for front row 1st balcony seat. It is amazing. It has 167,000 speakers inside, best sound ever & it was worth the $. I also requested a room on the backside of the hotel so you can see the sphere all night if you want.

Cutting the roster to 105

Will many NCAA teams begin to have a "practice squad" or something similar.? Those players won't be on the official 105 roster but would be held in some sort of reserve capacity. They could still get some NIL deal as compensation (cost of attendance) for being associated with the team but not on the 105. What is stopping them from being able to attend team meetings, do film study, and have access to workout facilities. If a player on the 105 gets injured, or decides to transfer, they get replaced by the practice squad player.

Cutting the roster to 105

But if there is money set aside for full or partial scholly, what is full scholarship valued at? Do the state schools get to award in state tuition amounts for in state players on the roster?
If so, the private schools are at a disadvantage. Also, the state schools with the most in state talent would have a big advantage, like state schools in California, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, etc
Hope all these details are worked out fairly, which I am sure they won’t be
This is the way it has always been. Tommie Frazier's scholarship was calculated at the outstate rate while Ahman Green's was "worth" less. There are people in the university's financial aid office and athletics compliance office whose job it is to calculate these sort of things. Then the university bills the athletic department. The amounts vary from year to year.
Also, nobody is required to give any grant $ at all to any players, and some simply won't be able to afford it. Like I said, the rich will get richer

Cutting the roster to 105

This is professional football. Two select Powers To Be are dictating roster size, salaries, and total free agency. The inmates are running the asylum. The 5 smaller conferences are a feeder system to the 4 preselected conferences. If you can't cut it at the 4 selected conferences, move down a level, play a couple of seasons, and move back up... THIS is not college football. Give it about 5-6 years and the newness will wear off and the numbers will tumble, the money will slow down, and the only relevance of what used to be a season will be 5 weeks in November and December.
What? College football is not professional football lol. Put down the bottle.

The newest properties are a little off from the middle of entertainment areas, but Fountainbleu is awesome inside. Great acoustics in their small theater. Resorts world is nice and has an amazing food court. City center probably is the best location. Try Eataly. Red Rock is nice if you want to avoid crowds.

Love Fontainebleau, I just always tell people to make sure before you're playing any slots to doublecheck the wagering amount. The slots sometimes have the denominations obscured so you think you're playing a 5 credit max bet for $1 and surprise, it's actually a $3 credit machine and you just spun a $15 turn.

Good to hear about Resorts World. I still haven't been there yet actually. They made a big deal when they first opened about not needing locals so I never bothered to go.

On Fremont Street, I really like Whiskey Licker Up as a place to eat. Off strip, Red Rock is great like you said. Durango is cool too though smaller (they're building a 2nd hotel tower, haven't stayed there yet but has a bad ass sportsbook). I also really like South Point Casino (a locals favorite) and if you want a more expensive place - The M Resort and Casino. Silverton Casino gives pretty good perks for locals and has a Bass Pro Shop for those interested. Also a giant ass free aquarium. Won there most of any casinos.

Mr Rogers

Yeah, we align on a lot of thoughts. The angst is understood, but the nonstop out loud whining is exhausting…..and even a little pathetic. I’m not gonna live in that headspace. Considering how bad this roster has been over the last several years, I think we’ve made obvious strides in that area over the last 2 years. I believe the results will come. I’m as guilty as anyone with regard to expecting DR to be consistently good. For the most part, that expectation is absurd for a true freshman QB…..but that’s on me. The Satt issue is one that I also hope is rectified for good. Let’s go get a W this week and worry about what comes next after that.
DR has been pretty good all season. I've been impressed with him.

why our coaching staff thought throwing him to the wolves with the entire program on his back was our best plan of action is a mystery.
