IF Dana stays, the majority of the offensive staff needs to go. They've had 2 springs, 2 falls and 20 ballgames to prove their worth. They didn't all just magically start coaching better in the last 2 weeks. Its all because of the Dana influence on the entire unit.

If Dana leaves, this will be the same old sad sack of shit coaching staff as we've become accustomed to. And Rhule will be headed down the road in a couple of years.
All certainly possible. Also possible that Rhule can go and find a different OC that will work out. He found Dana, he found Jeff Nixon, who isn’t a terrible OC at Syracuse. He went and got Tony White. Lots of possibilities out there and assuming we’ll just be fvcked without Dana is kind of small-picture thinking.

Rhule has already shown boat loads more flexibility than any head man we’ve had in the past 20 years. Cosgrove, Mark Banker, Eric Chinander anyone?? People that assume he won’t make necessary changes at this point have just been so triggered they’ve made their hatred personal against him.

The person with an issue is you! Pennsy is a good soul and good contributer here. Can he wear his emotion on his sleeve at times? Sure, just like everyone else at times. Look at you with all of 154 post acting like an ass. At least Pennsy has 15,000 so earned the right to go off track every once and awhile.

More liking setting up a decoy play to run a reverse/end around/sweep away from the heavy side or a pa pass
I cannot believe how we’ve not seen proper goal line play action passes, it’s one of the most common ways to score red zone TDs… but Satt apparently had an aversion to TDs.
We’ll see if DH brings that into the mix.

I also wish we’d run some of these DL jumbo packages in the middle of the field. A good 4 yd first down run here and there could come in handy.

Nebraska Football Is Fun Again!!

I was thinking that very thing while watching the game. They were about big dudes on the OL and punishing running backs. That’s all gone with Fickell there. They were better with Chryst. It’s why I’ve never been interested in Fickell and glad he never wanted any interest in coming here. Wisky is worse with him. And I couldn’t be happier.
I saw a story the other day that their roster currently boasts a fraction of home-grown kids that it used to.

whether it's other programs coming into the state over the past 5 years or the very public choice to rebrand, something's disconnected.

Where has this offense been?

Of forced to make change?
Head coaches can't be forced to make a change. We've seen it. They get the information they get and either pull the trigger, or don't and live with the decision. Alls well that ends well, hopefully this is one of those times it ends well for the good guys. Lord knows we haven't had many of these decisions end well. Diaco anybody?

Black Friday Weather

Seems they don’t allow too many night games in memorial stadium when we play conference games. Shocked this is a night game.
Well NBC has a nice contract and their the one’s that decided this during the late summer showing it on Thanksgiving weekend..

Michigan and Ohio St refuse to play any night games in November, there lies the problem ..

The secondary

Secondary has been ROUGH most or all of the year.
However, the TD against Ceyair Wright was just a great play by Wisconsin, and he was there to make a play.
The back corner TD against Buford was not great defense, but he still made a play on the ball, and it was a good catch.

But all the lack of run support and allowing way too many wide open guys and dink and dunk throws gets frustrating.

Wisky quickly picked on Hartzog like USC did and that’s when Blye Hill went in.
