Might not be the most glamorous hire but is a good defensive guy with a pretty solid resume. Went to 14 bowl games as a head coach.

Ouch. A little harsh, but would go over like a lead balloon, and would be a good indicator that more than a couple candidates turned us down. Walked away from headcoaching, maybe he'd like a job on the defense.Dogsh!t trev would prove football doesn't matter at a nebraska university again
Good guy and good coach would indicate that it isn't a bad hire. Not a splash hire at all, but you combine great recruiters with a good coach, we're gonna win a lot of games.Out of this world bad hire. Good guy and good coach but no upside. Might as well have not fired Scott around and kept the 7.5M until October. I thought that was a statement that NU wouldn't accept shit anymore.
One is employed, one isn't.If you're willing to go that route, a Kyle Whittingham is probably better.
If you think NU's ceiling is 8-5 he's a fine hire. No top assistants are going to work with him either bc he's different. His perfect situation was staying at BYU.Good guy and good coach would indicate that it isn't a bad hire. Did you say option? I'm sold.Nope if we are down to him might as well go Jamey Chadwell and watch the option raid offense.
KW would be worth a look. I know he's older but he seems to be in better shape that RhuleIf you're willing to go that route, a Kyle Whittingham is probably better.

But you are a doctor.I'd go who is that, to a slightly lesser degree than Riley, because I've at least heard of him. I'd be depressed as hell honestly, though its not like I'm really smart enough to know jack shit.
Problem with him to me is he was good four years ago, seems a little late to the party.Might not be the most glamorous hire but is a good defensive guy with a pretty solid resume. Went to 14 bowl games as a head coach.
Whittingham isn't leaving Utah. Bronco would be a really meh hire. He'd likely improve things but not to the degree we wantKW would be worth a look. I know he's older but he seems to be in better shape that Rhule
One is no different than the other in my opinion..Wouldn't be thrilled, but I'd definitely take him over Monken.
I'm hoping his name just got floated to the 247 guy as misdirection. My thoughts???
Why is this guy even on our radar. 10 years ago says hello and we say goodbye.
Mr. and Mrs. Nagurski named their son Bronko. My 1st though is who in the hell names their kid Bronco??
