Two gigantic steps back tonight

No. First you need some really slow people to keep derping after every time you post. Trust me, there is one on here that will overreact every single time.

C'mon 4.6.3. I've got at least one on this board that trolls me. Some people just are here to see what button they can push and giggle as they affect the board.

I like this board. I connect to Nebraska and the fans. Past that I love people from all parts of the country/world.

If you can find me the coach that can turn our pedestrian DL into something resembling what a Saban has, then I will give you ocean front property in South Dakots.
NEWS FLASH! Saban has 4 and 5 star athletes in his DL 2 deep. We have 2 walk ons, a converted TE and a guy with 2 surgically repaired knees as our starters and walk ons behind them. You're delusional if you think we are going to have a comparable line just by changing a coach.

I'm not trying to argue, but Wisconsin was as beat up as us, -and coming off 4-5 physical games in a row. We have looked average/slightly better than average at times all year. Unfortunately this is still a very fragile program.

The Wisconsin game was the outlier, we've looked bad for weeks. Due to the way they play, Wisconsin probably wasn't going to blow us (or anyone else) out...they don't have the offense for it. I am dead serious, we would be a huge dog to any other top 15 team on a neutral field and with good reason. It's just a hugely hugely disappointing evening; we make excuses for coaches who are paid to figure these things out. Langsdorf is exhibit A in that category.

Pretty sure that's his point... no coach is going to overcome that... not even Saban. People should recognize that.

Trumps us beating the Gators.

Face it, tonight was a failure at so many levels it isn't even funny.

I still have faith in Coach Riley. His coordinators, not so much. I'd honestly like to see Riley take over play-calling duties. If you look at his time at Oregon St, the years he called plays vs. the years that Langsdorf did, it's almost night and day.

Not half as lame as your attempts to act like you can give the team credit for something by just throwing in a "proud of what the team has done" line.
Again, your attempt is lame. Stay on topic, im not interested in your weak attempt to debt personal feelings about an average team.

If you want to discuss LB play, cool.

Night night "truehuskerfan"

I don't take orders from anybody on here, certainly not some lame poster who clearly has just been lying in waiting for a game like this so you could come on here and gleefully tell everybody how we suck so much.

Give up then. We're finished as a program, and you can go find someone else to root for.

If you don't think finishing up the season well would show progress, then I don't know what to tell you.
Wyoming and Craig Bohl are on the uptick and will soon have more Nebraskans on the team than we do. They would trounce us right now.

Heck if we could go toe to toe with them with a good offensive line we might have a chance with some breaks BUT WE'RE STARTING 3 WALKONS and a journeyman 5.2 3 star in our offensive line.....Amazed we got this far. LOVE walkons but man when you have to start 3 of them on your offensive line you're in trouble.
It's really hard finding a play where we won the point of attack.. Think we ran into an angry Urban tonight and never once matched OSU's intensity, but Banker's D was aweful

That literally may be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in 13 years on this board. Absolute, pure unadulterated nonsense. And more Nebraskans on the team than we do? I'd suggest you look at the two rosters and then go back to school and learn how to count.

Couldn't disagree more. This game tonight was a monumental failure on the defensive coaching staff.
Confused... so talent wise we matched them? Riiiiight...

If this was a monumental failure what should the coaches have done differently? And why aren't you on the sideline?

This is all about athletes! We simply don't have enough of them. I'm not gonna bag on the coaches here when OSU simply has another class of athletes out on the field. I believe these guys can coach, so Riley just needs to recruit like a mad man!

It's funny that Indiana, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Northwestern found a way to slow down their offense. I know...some is on the fact that our offense couldn't move the ball, but Banker failed his players tonight in the biggest way possible. He should give his paycheck back for this week. He sucked...period.

Then how did 2 teams that we beat, and one team that we lost to in OT to remain competitive with Ohio State? This was partly about athletes, but more about Banker and his staff stinking up the place coaching our players. Major failure on their part.

Can't it be some of both? I'm not going to praise the coaching staff after that loss. And I'm not going to pretend that Nebraska has the horses that Ohio State does.

You'd think we lost two games last night instead of just one after reading this board.
Well, it did end up being loss #2 of the year. :D

Seriously, it does feel like they got beat a few times last night, first half, second half. You would have thought that Nebraska could have stopped OSU once or twice in the second half or maybe scored one more time. Figured they would lose by a few td's , maybe a bit more, but I didn't see what happened coming, and I don't remember seeing anyone on the prediction thread touting a loss such as this.

Oh well, Tommy was able to get back to the sideline, so that is great news, hopefully he sits it out all week and doesn't play this Saturday, no need to risk his health. I think the team will rebound and pull a couple of wins out of the next three.

Does one game tell the whole story of the season? No.

It likely will. The wheels have fallen off. Most likely all losses to finish out the season with the possibility of losing by multiple scores in all games remaining.

My suggestion for you is to stop posting for the time being... if you're right we're all on suicide watch. If you're wrong, you look like an idiot. Lose-lose situation you've got going here...

I'm not wrong. Ignoring the state of the team and their likely finish to the season isn't the way to go. Why suicide watch? Next year the overall talent will be better and we'll have a QB that can pass the ball. Less likely to have 62-3's.

Sorry, I stand corrected. You're not wrong. Thanks for clearing that up. Everybody, we don't have to play the remaining games. SC has already told us all the outcomes.

Appreciate it SC, now I won't watch and won't be disappointed. No suicide watch for me now that I know what you know.

Sure it is. I don't think anyone is under the impression that we have the talent level of Ohio State, but neither do Indiana, Northwestern, Wisconsin, or Penn State. And none of them lost by 60 to Ohio State.

There is no other way to slice this other than the fact that our coaches didn't have our team prepared, and this saddens me. I thought they were up to the task of preparing our team for any team after our loss to Wisconsin. That's clearly not the case.

I don't think this is the case at all, unless you are just being overly dramatic intentionally. I still think we can finish respectably, and possibly even win out. But this is a huge bruise that won't go away soon.
