Florida and Georgia are on one side and Alabama and OU would be on the other plus you have A&M LSU AuburnNot with three of those four teams and one division
I do not believe either school has the stones to do it. I'm calling B.S.
What would Nebraska's projected finish be in that division? 🤔
I think a better choice would be the 'one front tooth' division and the 'no front teeth' division. I suspect that both would be after the latter designation.Let's do something revolutionary and call one division leaders and the other legends. That would be great 🙂😉
does seem odd Texas would give up all it's power to join SEC and be in the bottom of the leagueTiming seems weird, unless it has something to do with NCAA stepping back and they want to be on the forefront of what will eventually be a new NIL league?
Alabama and Auburn would move East, making their rivalries with Tennessee (Bammer) and Georgia (Auburn) divisional affairs. Missouri would be in the West.Florida and Georgia are on one side and Alabama and OU would be on the other plus you have A&M LSU Auburn
We can put wanted poster up in the halls...Can you identify that tally whacker??
Anyone else watch Porky's on Cinemax and/or HBO with the volume on zero, at night, in the basement, while your parents were sleeping? We can put wanted poster up in the halls...
Notre Dame and Iowa StateIf it happens, who are your first two invites if you're the Big Ten? I'd go Notre Dame and Kansas.
Writing from Iowa City, I actually think the time will come when Iowa welcomes ISU into the league or just doesn't play them in football at all. If ISU-Iowa is a league game or not a game at all, then Iowa is free to build a more national schedule, which would actually make them more than just the regional second- to third-tier program it currently is.Kansas is a slam dunk
Iowa might try blocking Iowa State
I think Notre Dame likes where they’re at
Not sure who else

Any chance another ACC school would leave for the BIG?Basketball money is huge, research how basketball money is distributed by the NCAA and you will change your tune
somebody is going to get left with not a lot of optionsNo way Baylor and TCU would fit in with the pac but what you gonna do I guess
Louisville or Florida state ??Any chance another ACC school would leave for the BIG?
Yep you are right....somebody is going to get left with not a lot of options
TCU would be left out in favor of TechTexas OU to SEC Iowa state KU to the BIG West Virginia Okie state to ACC Baylor TCU to the PAC sorry Texas tech and K state
I believe this would signal the end of the NCAATiming seems weird, unless it has something to do with NCAA stepping back and they want to be on the forefront of what will eventually be a new NIL league?
I'd pick Cincinnati over Kansas. Decent G5 team and with better recruiting by being P5, it could make a nice rivalry with tOSU.If it happens, who are your first two invites if you're the Big Ten? I'd go Notre Dame and Kansas.
I was thinking Virginia and Georgia Tech, who knows? Wouldn't surprise me to see chatter about Kansas and Colorado to the BIG if no Notre Dame and no ACC schools. The key is not current competitiveness but in a big population center and good academics and good athletics.Louisville or Florida state ??
I could see Florida State and Louisville ? or a NCstate / NC or Virg Tech / Virg comboThere is chatter that Big ten would go after ACC schools.
FSU
UVA
UNC
Didn't anybody see the word POSSIBLY and know it's a slow news day. These stories always come out every year and to think people buy it as gospel is just crazy. People can go ahead and dream about realignment and what it would look like but does anyone really buy this as fact.
Good observation, but I wonder if OSU would veto that in two seconds.I'd pick Cincinnati over Kansas. Decent G5 team and with better recruiting by being P5, it could make a nice rivalry with tOSU.
Yeah, it might hurt them for some of the lower recruits they get from Ohio - those guys would be starters for Cincy right away.Good observation, but I wonder if OSU would veto that in two seconds.
Sports aside, KU has the Cancer Research Grant. Pretty good resume for the school to any comference.Basketball money is huge, research how basketball money is distributed by the NCAA and you will change your tune
I think people underestimate KU's overall appeal as an institution and as an athletic department. And the football program won't be horrible forever. Right? RIGHT?Sports aside, KU has the Cancer Research Grant. Pretty good resume for the school to any comference.
They're only into little boys and athletes.BIG will not touch those two schools.
If true, then add aTm to the B1G!
Sir Yacht.Someone page Frank the Tank
The B1G is not going to invite any non-AAU school that isn't named "Notre Dame". Kansas, Iowa State, Mizzou, and UVa are members. None of the schools you mention above (except Kansas) are.Kansas - I can see them in the B1G....Iowa State, eh just don't see it.
Kansas State - forget it
Oklahoma State - long shot, B1G ain't taking a SEC little brother
TCU Baylor Texas Tech - don't see it
West Virginia - probably best chance outside of Kansas
Notre Dame - I think B1G would ask, ND would say no thanks, we're good
I was just a kid, but I seem to recall a scene in Heavy Metal where the dude lands on some planet and is naked and comments how he don't want to walk around some foreign planet with his dork hanging out.Can you identify that tally whacker??
I'd pick Cincinnati over Kansas. Decent G5 team and with better recruiting by being P5, it could make a nice rivalry with tOSU.
Whether it happens or not THIS is exactly why we left the Big 12 and our move was an extremely good decision. We left because Texas was threatening to go to the PAC at the time and leave us behind to fend for ourselves with the midgets. Without Texas, the Big 12 is not a P5 conference, like it or not. And since Texas is such a HUGE catch financially for any conference they can leave any time and periodically threaten to do just that without any regard for the teams they would leave behind.Houston Chronicle says it's in the works.
Yeah, and geographic location is not an issue anymore. It will (if it happens) be all aboutI could see Florida State and Louisville ? or a NCstate / NC or Virg Tech / Virg combo
