Steelers- Cowboys fans?

Missing a golden opportinity for the upcoming season to tank and finally draft a real QB. But .500 is fine, there's bothing wrong with that...and a first round ass kicking, if they make the platlyoffs that is.
I haven't followed steelers super close for the last 6 years or so. Pickens is a crazy talented bit of a loon.
I don't necessarily like the trade, but if there is one thing I probably shouldn't question is Steelers WR moves. They always seem to know what they are doing, and it works out for them.

Well they have Dak. He's a great regular season QB..lol
They brought in 4 new RBs and the OL should be pretty good which is the real key to running the FB regardless of the back.
They are never winning the SB as long as Jerry is in charge
Dallas got a great talent with a 2 dollar brain.l would've loved to see them get mote for him but this trade screams steelers wanted him gone. I'd have kept him this year and took comp pick (third or better) next year. Hate this trade after the draft for Steelrs also.
On another note if I'm A Rogers I'm not signing with Steelrs either. Imo Dallas won the trade. At least short term. Because Pickens is a headcase.

Serious Steelers fan here. I love this trade. Pickens has been a handful and was disliked by just about everyone. Got called out by Tomlin to "grow up" after a game where he got two 15 yard conduct penalties. The next week in practice, Pickens "injured his hamstring", was out three weeks, then just to make sure everyone knew how he felt GP showed up 40 minutes late on his first game back. There are videos out there that will show GP deciding not to block and Steelers backs getting tackled near the goal line. It's just one thing after another.
Anyway, this trade was the best value the Steelers were going to get. It's totally within GP's character to skip OTAs, hold out for a new deal, go on a social media rant... you name it. The last year with GP wasn't going to go well. As the year goes on, teams will lowball offers and most will just refuse to add a guy like that to their locker room for a few months. So the Dallas 3rd rounder will give us more ammunition to trade up for a QB next year. DK Metcalf is a better WR1 than George and we'll find a lesser talented, but more dependable, better blocker as a #2 WR.
Lazard is washed up but he will block. If the Steelers are willing to trade a 6th for Lazard and a 7th I suppose I can go along with that. The problem is the Steelers have plenty of cap space and there are better free agent guys out there.
The highest comp pick anyone can get is a 3rd and that is in the following year at the end of the round. Pickens would have had to ball out to get the type of huge contract that gets you a third. I think it's more likely that Pickens would have held out then half assed it though the season and got us a 4th or 5th round comp pick at the end of the round in 2027. Apparently there weren't any decent offers before/during the draft this year. Dallas was hoping to draft that Arizona WR in the first or Higgins on Day 2. Dallas only started talking trade with the Steelers after the draft was over.
You could be right about him half assing it but he had every incentive NOT TO. Final year of contract and looking for a big bag. Plus he would've finally had another WR on the team that could take double coverage off of him. But like you said he could easily have self imploded.
He's in a perfect situation at Dallas. Cedee as a true number one and a solid QB. Plenty of one on one coverage . If he can't succeed their he's likely to always get in his own way.
At first I hated the trade but I've always understood it. Teams always bet on talent. Once it's proven to not be enough you simply move on...we did that.

Like Omar said, this could be a trade that helps both teams. We shall see. Pickens has been unhappy with the team for some time now. I heard that the Steelers have a good relationship with GP's agent. It's quite possible that the agent enlightened the Steelers on what to possibly expect over the next few months had they kept George. It's quite obvious that the team was fed up with George and if he wasn't going to get any better, it wasn't going to be pretty.
Like I said, I love this trade. The Steelers have DK. Roman Wilson will finally have his rookie year. Robert Woods is old, but can still block. I think the Steelers will trade for another WR, maybe Dobbs from GB.
It’s pretty obvious by his tweet if true that he didn’t want to be in Pittsburgh. Sometimes a change of scenery helps we will see . It might be a case of another player with millions of dollars of potential but a 10 cent head.
I could see it being a good trade for both sides also. I just wished it happened before the draft if it was gonna happen. I won't lie I loved what Pickens was capable of on the field. But I also know the stuff that Tomlin has dealt with over the years with some of these guys. When HE gives up on a guy as talented as Pickens is THIS early...it speaks volumes.
Hope like hell Wilson is the ready and Austin takes another step. We won't get the talent of Pickens but maybe the others off set him. I've heard Dobbs rumors also.

With my Packers drafting two WRs in the last draft a couple of our current WRs will be traded or eventually cut. Christian Watson and his injury issues. And Romeo Doubs. Who has had concussion issues and is a bit of a head case. Solid WR though.
Seeing how the Hollywood stars and political leaders lie and it gets accepted without question by their supporters. He is hoping for the same. Thank goodness the Steelers got rid of his act in the locker room.
I forgot to mention that the Steelers apparently had decided that they were not going to extend Pickens. It does seem like George is the type of guy who would let that affect his attitude as time went on. So things were probably going to deteriorate.
How did you feel about the Steelers draft?
Over/under on crowd fights at that game? 20? Can’t imagine going to a night game in that toilet in opposing teams gear.
Dallas is going to be an interesting watch this year , at least to start the season. I expect nothing from them except to have a disappointing year, Dak will probably get hurt and shut it down 75% of the way in. You're a Cowboy fan aren't you? What do you expect?
Not a Cowboys fan. Just follow them a little since you can't really help it as they dominate all the sports shows. I expect them to suck like they always do
If they can stop the run.
Win the division. They beat everyone but the Eagles without Dak.
Pass rush is better, RB room is better, receiving corp is better.
All comes down to stopping the run for them
