Steelers- Cowboys fans?

I forgot to mention that the Steelers apparently had decided that they were not going to extend Pickens. It does seem like George is the type of guy who would let that affect his attitude as time went on. So things were probably going to deteriorate.

How did you feel about the Steelers draft?

Yes George kinda always seemed like a ticking time bomb. Knowing he wouldn't gonna be extended likely wouldnt have played well with him . So I get it for sure.

I actually liked the draft. I might've took a WR had I known Pickens situation. Other than that I liked it. At least I like the direction they are trying to go in. In the past I had no clue.

I don't see how they didn't take a flyer on Sanders in the later rounds. They so neeed a QB.....made zero sense to me

I loved the draft. Keep in mind that they got DK for the 2nd pick. I wanted the team to get better up front. Harmon is a perfect eventual replacement for Heyward and they will play well together too. The Iowa DL Yahya Black- huge, long arms, very well spoken. Everyone thought he was just a NT but the Steelers like him as a 3 tech or even a 5 tech if they play some 3-4. I love getting Johnson out of Iowa in the 3rd too. They say he's a great fit for outside zone and that's what the Steelers want to run. Heard Johnson made a good impression at rookie mini camp. The rush end and QB out of Ohio State were great value picks. Could Howard be the next Brock Purdy? He's got a ton of experience. Nice getting him in the 6th. Then Sawyer was the perfect best player available selection in the 4th. The 4th round is the perfect round to just forget about need and grab a good player. The Steelers actually needed a 4th rush end anyway. As far as undrafted free agents go, Castro out of Iowa was a very good college player. Wouldn't surprise me if he made the team.

Sorry for the long winded response. One cool aspect of the draft was that the Steelers went into it with only six picks and no 2nd rounder. But they came out of it with seven players picked and got a couple guys who really could have been picked a round or two earlier. So in a way, they got their 2nd round pick back that they traded for DK.
