When's the last time the Huskers were ranked in the top 10? Hawkeyes have been four times since and will be the 5th time for this season (will likely have a top 5 ranking if they win their bowl game). Bobo reached 14 once, then no better than 20 if memory serves. We did have a more exciting conference championship game than Iowa, though.wait...what? Iowa has achieved better heights then the Huskers in the past 5 years? Or longer? Didn't Io_a's coach almost get fired last year do to pour record, season and overall production? I'm guessing it wasn't due to one pour season but multiple pour season's by Io_a. WWhile Bo was here didn't the Huskers average 9 wins per year, went to multiple conference championship games and a multiple high level bowl games...forgive me if I'm being an air head but itsnt that in itself better then what Io_a has done over the past decade?
Here is the quote I responded to -Can you comprehend what a response is? When asked in a digging fashion, "when was the last time you went to the rose bowl," a natural response is to say, "when was the last time you won a national championship?" That's kinda how the game is played...
It's ok that you don't know how to play the game, but don't try to fake it. You look bad when you do.
Here is the quote I responded to -
"How many National Championships does Iowa have? Please, enlighten us."
Sure, Rose Bowl discussed earlier, but this genius pulled out the "How many national championships" card. I simply stated powerhouses like Minnesota could play that game too.
If you can keep up with the conversation, you best stay silent.
And continued your support of schools not named Nebraska. I know what you responded to but you still fail to see what was clearly a response to another's dig...Here is the quote I responded to -

If you look back far enough, you will see plenty of debates with Hawkeye fans. I Have Christmas tonight with several Hawkeye fans and the stereotype of the typical Nebraska fan is that we automatically refer to the national championships when we cannot win a debate on the current state of our team. Unfortunately, it appears they are right with some fans. My point is - give credit where credit is due. Does it make me a closet fan of OSU and MSU to respect what they have done? I don't think so - but I wish our program was where they are. History suggests Iowa will not sustain the winning tide they are on in future years, but you just look like a sore loser to not give them credit for accomplishing something that Nebraska last did four coaches ago.Big Red rules have checked your profile and your posts and replies, it does show your for anything and everything Io_a. it does lead one to wonder if your not an Io_a fan playing a Husker tag in here. Sorry brotha, it's what I see.
And that was my point, Io_a May have have had a few decent season's but I believe the Huskers overall production the past decade would show there better then Io_a, looking at numbers alone.
I know most on here are hoping for a Hawkeye beatdown but tks for the respect! I hope the Huskers can pull out a win and at least close the season on a winning note... Here is to a Husker win!I think Iowa wins... they've earned my respect this year.
