lets say lee was the QB this year. anyone think we would have done any better? he would have been saxked, what 40 times?

I believe you're under valuing what impact someone that can read defense has, plus the ability to hit all four passing levels at a better rate.

Sacked more than Tommy? Sure, water is also wet.

theres no defense to read when a guy is in your face a second after the snap. we have too many problems to even count em all.

That better Oline play is needed is not a secret.

Yes we have a lot of problems beyond the QB position. But never underestimate how poor play from a QB has a ripple effect through the entire offense. It changes almost everything. Hence, why NFL teams pay high quality QB's tens of millions. And watch how fast those very same teams go from being a contender to an irrelevance if that same QB gets injured and the backup stinks. Likewise, to minimize how good play from a QB can elevate an entire offense is shortsighted I think

There is when a defense respects the QB's ability. Or, that QB is able to hit a simple screen or quick option.

You mean like all the posters on here saying Riley was the wrong hire? Are those the posters who think they know more than those in the athletic department?

Please with the hypocrisy.
I have never said Riley is the wrong hire. I did say I thought he should be given the same length of leash as anyone else. Thus far, to me at least, he has been unimpressive in the W-L and recruiting columns.

Thet makes me a hypocrite? I'm not one of the poster(s) saying, "x person doesn't know anything about football." I know I can't get a job as the hc or as a coordinator at Nebraska.

I do, however, think some of the resident Uncle Ricos could use a wake-up call.

So a twitter attack on a player by a journalist. Ya, not very professional doing that.

And a "face difficult choices" article. Coaches have to make difficult decisions as part of their work. Is it an attack on Riley, looks like one to me, maybe not a personal attack but attacking decisions/philosophy. Maybe McKewon is just expecting some type of improvement.

Speculation.

But according to you it doesn't matter what you think because you are just a poster that thinks they know more about football than the people in the athletic department.

I'm not a nihilist. I believe we're fans, who have the luxury of using stats - the only measurable way of analysis.

And kudos on attempting to take my argument away from me. Again, I'm not the poster referring to the Nebraska fanbase as "terrible, "pathetic," and, "unknowledgeable."

The clown you are defending used those terms.
